Lately 2 of my Friends Large Smithes have been Broken into. Now this
morning i come home to my smithy from adventuring and found 4 ppl
on the chesapeake Shard:
Decay
Sephiroth
Thelma
Magnus

All in my house looting it!
I did not lose my keys
and all my inner doors in large smithy was locked!
but all of them were scattered in every room of my smithy!
OSI PLZ FIX IT ASAP !

From what i heard this new bug might be assoicated with Nightmares,
Becuase i see alot of ppl offering crazy amounts of cash lately for
buying one of these Horses.

For all of you out there beware al lock down boxes in front of your
doors in every room or get looted.

Here's what I know (from my bad-ass (or so they think) friends)

1- 2 ppl (one on nightmare) one DEAD
2- nitemare owner tell horse to follow ghost
3- then QUICKLY remounts the horse
4- the ghost is irrelevant at this point
5- horse and rider simply walk through the door

NOTE: 9 out of ten times the looters will be BLUE!!! (gotta love that shit
eh?)

4 ppl with 4 ghosts = 4 looters....

Question is - did your looters have nitemares with them??

Also watch out when you find ppl in your home raping your hard earned
goodies.... how many of you can kill a nitemare? Not I, and I'm pretty much
a GM swords and have a 105 str....

You attack one of these ppl and you'd better be prepared to die QUICKLY -
they'll simply loose the horse on your ass and it'll smoke ya like a cheap
cigar....

It's a BAD bug - one that should have been caught, but until OSI fixes it -
watch you're houses kids - the people I know using this are f'n ruthless

Good luck

One note sorry I forgot =)

Once horse is told to follow ghost - the ghost walks through the house door
and the horse and rider follow

It *is* possible. Some real ancient characters are buggy like that.

My original Loki Dahlmarth on Atlantic got nabbed by that "GM Stat
bug" the first week. He's now blessed w/ a 103 dex - and it ain't
that cooky "stat hacking" sorta thing from that fall (which would
cause your stat and attribute to mismatch ... both dex and stamina
read 103).

He's a fast sunofabitch too :)

Course, I don't remmeber the original post, but if he ain't on one
of the really really old shards, I'd be suspect of cheating :P

Pretty easy to circumvent - lock down a chest or a hay bale or three in front of
the door or in a horseshoe around the door and keep all your valuables out of
reach.

Do you really think EQ will be free of bugs and cheaters? Think again.

That's true, maybe you could just set them there and not lock them down. this
would prevent the ghost from walking in, anyway.

That would be nice, since friends can get into the secure chest, it only makes
sense that they be able to lock and unlock things down...

Hmm.. It'd be nice if you had say a master tamer... or knew one. Wait
for the owner to dismount, tell it to attack.. ban him. Ban his
friends. You'll probably be dead, but hey, you can still ban :) What
you'll have then is a nice tame nightmare in your house. It won't
hear its master giving it commands outside, and granted, it might
trample some locked down stuff, but if you lock down a few boxes
around it after resurrecting, and load up your tamer when it goes
wild...

I have heard of a bug that allows a character riding a nightmare to use
the "follow" command on a ghost and walk through your front door. Not
sure if item lockdowns prevents this or not. =)

OK, now I have heard everything. I don't usually support bug exploiters, but
you would have to admit that these guys were pretty damn clever. I'd like to
have a dry docked boat in my house, it would be 'unique' heh, I'll bet
people start offering this as a paid service, give them cash they'll park a
boat in your house.
