Does anybody have a problem with their vendors? I just put up a large house
on drachenfels, after having deeded my smaller one. I made it a public
house, and tried to put my vendor back. It just doesn't work! Not in any
location inside the house, or on the steps in front of it. And I get no
error message or nothing. (and yes, it is the same character that placed the
original vendor). When I changed the house back to private, I did get an
error message saying that vendors were only allowed in public buildings. I
then thaught of just buying a new vendor deed to see of that worked, and I
couldn't find any! Has anyone bought a new house and put up his old vendor
succesfully? If so, what the heck have I done wrong! (And if more people
have this problem, why, after a week of testing, hasn't this problem been
solved?)

I have the same problem and have been reporting it all along:( I've also
seen other players report it. I guess it didn't happen to *enough* people
so we're just SOL <sigh>. Leastwise, no member of the Dev team has said
boo about the problem that I've seen.

We have said stuff about the problem. Basically, we're baffled. It
*looks* exactly like a "duped deed" and acts like one, except it's
coming from people whom we trust when they say that they didn't dupe
their vendor deeds. We are investigating it though.

Thanks:) I'll hold off on buying a new vendor deed in hopes that it can
be fixed then:)

Isn't it amazing how much trouble could have been saved if the possibility of
duping had been eliminated in the first place. The deeds could have been made
non-transferable, non-loseable, non-stealable, and non-bankable, (just stays in
your pack until used) and there would have been no chance (it seems) of any
such problem existing.

Raph don't know if you remember or heard but many people DID have
duped deeds. They would talk to their vendor and it would turn into a
deed, and then later when they came back to their houses the vendor
would be there again and would again turn into a deed. One of the
posters said he talked to a GM and the gm said one of the deeds was a
dupe and would be ignored. This is all from memory and didn't happen
to me but I'm sure some of the people it did happen to could give you
more details if you asked.

What means duping a deed. My vendor was back whenever i logged in so I got a
few deeds. Is that duping.

But only one of them worked to get the vendor bach to work !

Some people used a bug in the game to make multiple copies of their vendor
deed, hoping to have extra vendors for free and dupe the stuff the vendor had
so as to get free equiptment. OSI fixed this bug but there are still multiple
copies of some of the vendors. Theses deeds can't be used but due to another
bug it seems that some perfectly legitimate vendor deeds appear to be dupes
and also can't be used.

PS. Dupe is short for duplicate
