It might be me, but I already loan it to my brother.... :-(

It's totally unsuitable for replacing PnP D&D. I thought it would do that,
but nope.... The gamers are just not that sort of people and they just want
to hack 'n slash their way through without any communication. It's very
hard to find a great party, even in the Role Playing group. That's why I
asked you guys to play with me (but I don't have the game with me now...).

There's a matching service around that does a LOT better
job finding role-players than the NWN locator thing does.

Try that.

Me too (notice I didn't write Me2). Because I know you guys probably can
role play better than those random guests in NWN's server.

I was thinking of playing once or twice a week... going through the
packaged campaign. Of course, there are better player-made modules out
there to try. :)

I have NWN too, but uninstalled it to free up space for a video editing
project I have. If we do get a group together, and its in a timeslot
suitable for me, I'll reinstall and join. :P

*sigh* I would be happy to play, and I'm on cable, but I anticipate
that I'm only going to have -less- free time than I do now for the next
two months. It's not something I can make a commitment to, in good

So who's interested? I don't mind waiting longer for people to find CDs.
:) By the way - as a note, I'm a bit more interested in just getting some
friends together to play through the game, but I can roleplay if wanted.
:) I haven't done much recently, but that's more a time and
circumstance issue than anything else. :)

Thanks. :-) My brother lives in Berkeley and only come home once a while.
Maybe he'll be back tomorrow. I'll tell him to bring it to me. I prefer
roleplaying, if that's not too much to ask.... But you guys can go ahead
without me. If I got the disc, I'll let you guys know, and can join you
guys in media res.

I am available on Sunday evenings, but I have school on early Monday
morning.... Saturday evenings are fine, but no guarantee if I will be
available (I will let you guys know on Saturday afternoon.... Usually my
Saturday schedule is "flexible," meaning people will call me up on last
minute notice....). BTW, I go by Pacific Standard Time. What time zones
are you guys in?

Usually Thursdays are okay for me, but not this one. This Wednesday night
might be fine though.

Which coincidentally is Taipei Time..., but I don't remember how to convert
time. but I think it's about 5 or 6pm Friday for us. Which I think I
probably can do it, but you have to ask wtcher. Anywayz, what kinds of

Considering that I have no idea how to change a normally-played
single-player game to multi-player-mode? I can but try.

Lets try this again!

I live on the western end of Canada meaning that my timezone is PST, GMT
-0800.

I'm free on Saturdays and Sundays by that time's reckoning; to clear this
up, I'll convert my free weekend time to GMT.

I am free on:

PST:
0700 PST -> 2359 PST Saturday
0700 PST -> 2000 PST Sunday

1500 GMT -> 0759 GMT Saturday->Sunday
1500 GMT -> 0400 GMT Sunday->Monday

The times listed are arbitrary... and can shift. The best times for me
would be early->late evenings, my time.

I'll try my best to meet your schedule, but can't tell you whether I can
make it on Saturday or not, but I'll let you know. :-) I really want to
play a game with you guys. When I just got NWN, I asked the very same

It's just the same, except your team member around you are smarter. :-)
Besides, we are role-playing, so we could talk about stuffs. We can help

No, because greets is a verb. Were that sentence read as if I had
properly grammatized it, the it refers to newcomers, which still doesn't
work because it's plural and it is singular.....

It's supposed to refer back to Wtcher.

Well... OK, but I think that if I were to say the same sentence, but
refer to, say, you, I wouldn't change it any. It would remain
grammatical because the "it" is the same kind of "it" that the Duck
objects so stridently to just before the Dodo suggests the Caucus-Race.
The "archbishop of Canterbury found _it_ advisable..." Or maybe it's
not the same kind of "it," and I just really wanted to make an obtuse
allusion.

I don't know the terminology involved here, but my ear says that the
sentence reads more intuitively if the "it" does not refer to Wtcher.

It is not so much the fact of meeting people, it's more the fact of changing
the game to Multiplayer. I tried pushing the button labeled 'Multiplayer'
once, and it started raving about passwords and creating news and other
thingamajigs which can be very worrying if you have no idea what it's
talking about, and how permanent they can be, and what sort of things it
expects... *curls up in a small ball and mutters incoherently to himself*

You need to create a password so nobody else can assume your identity. It's
not that scary. Besides, we are not going to play in a public forum (I
assume), so don't worry about other people coming in and ruin our privacy.

BTW, Wtcher, can we import our old characters? I think I mostly want to
role play, less concern about the other stuff. I already knew the storyline
anywayz (but we have to pretend not knowing it).

You completely lost me somewhere around the word "Duck". In know my
grammar, but there are some finer points that I cannot be bothered to
have memorized, and this is probably one of them.

I was always better at maths and sciences than English courses, anyway.
My SAT was a 710m to a 540v.

But regatding Wtcher, it is an it. I know why you think it less
intuitive that way, because people are generally gendered. But Wtcher's
online persona is not, and it is quite insistent on its itness.

Sadly, I occasionally forget that and lapse into "he" and that sort of
pronouns in reference to it.

Also, rereading the paragraph two above this one, I can fully understand
why people are generally not referred to in the neuter. It can make for
confusing grammar.

-Lumina Dragon

P.S. Wait until you meet Textral or Nightfox or some of the other
Spivaks on the Weyrmount. They have some unusual pronouns, indeed.

Well, it's only 10 pts more.... My English sucked back then. Only if it
was one year later, my verbal score would probably be 100 pts more.

Actually it's a typical pattern in California that people score higher in
their math part, so you are just living in the wrong part of the country.

I like how nobody is really taking the initiative here. ;) Anyway, I'm
pretty much settled on Penultima (I've only played a little bit...) I'd
prefer "light" RP this time around - especially considering the
content... if memory serves, Destrius would prefer us playing in the
mornings due to timezone differences. Another possibility is Spires of
Ravenloft.

Somebody else say something! Before I start saying words like "bloody"
and "sodding"! ^_~

I did!!! Find me in another post in the same thread. I said I am okay this
evening. I turned away tonight's majong party, as I thought we might never
get together if I didn't. EVERYONE, SHOW UP!!! Or else it'll be tomorrow
morning, PST.

Oh dear... I seemed to have missed it. :( Anyway, I'm just waiting for
Destrius to tell me when he's available... do you have any specific
times? Waiting around like this doesn't work, /somebody/ has to correlate
the data. :)

Sadly, that's the one I said was uninstalled. And not enough room to
reinstall, unless I remove Planescape and find something else to remove.

Don't have D2 -- well, can't run it -- but do have D1+HF, and don't
recall any need for passwords.

Have two L28 chars (Warr & Sorc), and a Monk of lesser level, but am not
sure that single-player chars can be transferred. I'd have to check the
docs.

UDIC-related, but he's there nonetheless. Ha!

And FWIW, I got a 1510, so :P to you all.

Where is it? BTW, when to play? Tomorrow? I need the answer now, because
I might have to tell my cousin.

I think I am going to call my cousin in law and ask what's up. If I am not
here, then we'll see each other tomorrow. Please give me the URL for
Penultima mod, thanks. :-)

You'll have to sift through the archives accessible from nwn.bioware.com,
I'm afraid... sorry about your day. Perhaps Destrius will appear shortly.
:) I suspect if nothing else, just us /two/ can play tomorrow. ;)

Okay..., sorry to do this. But anywayz, they are going to watch Scooby Doo,
which I want to watch, but can call it off by 8:30, so do we have enough
people with commitment right now?
