1) Candle in the Wind (both versions)
2) As Long as you Love Me
3) My Father's Eyes
4) I Love You (Always Forever)
(OK, this one isn't as overplayed as it was last year, but still)
Others?

NO WAY! I love the original version, I really do. And Elton really played the
other one *only once*. I guess it might have been a bad idea to actually
release the song as a single. I really hope there'll be the time when you can
listen to 'Candle in the Wind' again without thinking about Diana, but rather
again about Marilyn Monroe. (And I own the 'Goodbye Yellow Brickroad CD for
over 10 years now, remember, the song originally is 25 years old!)
>2) As Long as you Love Me
Even in Germany, yep. Damn boy groups...
>3) My Father's Eyes
*raising eyebrow* really? It doesn't get much airing in Germany. I kind of
like the song, but well, I'm a Clapton fan. Still I wish Clapton would go back
to play somewhat more heavy songs again. It's time he gets musically across
his crisis, but OTOH who can blame him? My 'Clapton' favourite: Still Layla,
the original version (the one with the e-guitar riff). But you may well add
the acoustic (unplugged) version of 'Layla' to your list.
>4) I Love You (Always Forever)
>(OK, this one isn't as overplayed as it was last year, but still)
seems like 50% of all overplayed songs contain the phrase 'love you' :)
>Others?
Anything with Celine Dion and Mariah Carey (sp?) IMO.
