The Palace

I found a good graphical chat program we could use as a replacement for
the old online idea of ours. The Palace(www.thepalace.com) has its own
chat client, graphical environments, and multiple representative pics
called Avatars, strangly enough. Could this work???

No it could not. There are two problems, probably more I haven't though
of.

1. It is real-time. Usenet works because it is batched, and does not
have to be read immediately. We are mostly in different time-zones...

2. It is only for Windows 95 or Macintosh. I use Linux, many others use
Linux, some may even use BeOS. I have in the past used Solaris at
University to reach this group, and certainly there are many other weird
and wonderful platforms people use.

It's a nice try though.

The Weyrmount and #udic both have enough success.

I concede of this points. But most of use Win9x , or boths as I do !
Besides,
programs like Wine or even VMWare would surely be able to run it.

Avatar is the term of your character in these situations. Hmm...perhaps
(where did the avatar first appear, u4?) was the first hint about UO?
