Wow.. People "flame" each other online. I never
would've known that (rolls eyes)..

Jeez....

What planet has this reporter been living on for the past
10 years? "by no means a widespread phenomenon"?

Hello? Earth to ZDNet..

Sorry.. It's just that the irony was too incredible to
bear alone.. :-)

Journalism not quite at its worst, but close. The writer is using
shock tactics to make a story out of a fairly ordinary event -- an
event on which the writer has clearly done little or no research.

Believe me, there would have been a bit of re-writing if that had
landed on _my_ desk... >:)

Like ripping the 'article' to shreds in front of the author and giving a

:snickers: I don't suppose any of the article dealt with tangents
or useful information like how to plonk and counter-trolling?

Be serious. Why would an 'off-the-top-of-the-head' POS bother with having
something useful in it? That would mean the author had to actually _know_
something about the topic! *looks shocked at the thought*

That might have figured somewhere in the rewrite process, yes.

Ethan has returned to fill eternal darkness with Ethan...

>WATER IS WET!

Reminds me of one of my friends at school. When I was having lunch
together with another friend, friend #1 stopped by and told us that
his girlfriend had thrown a glass of water at him. When I asked him
"So she really wet your pants, then?" (that's the closest translation
I can come up with), he jsut said "You sick bastards!" and walked
away...
