You don't need to buy a ship in Trinsic (if that's where you are) just
get the password from the mayor to leave the city and follow the path
North and eventually you'll get to Britain. You'll come into Paws first
though.

Don't use a ship, just walk. No way you have enough cash to buy a ship that
early in the game anyway.
Besides, if you have Forge of Virtue, there is no need to EVER buy a ship,
since Ole Lord British gives you the keys to his.

if you go around through trinsic looting all of the houses and even the
shipkeeper's, you should have enough money. but if you want, you can make
enough money fast enough and be able to own a ship at every port and also
comission owen the ship builder to build you a ship. Just get any ship
first. Make sure you have three stacks of gold, 100 coins each. Go to
bucaneer's den and go to the gambling house. here's the best part. Place
the three stacks, one on top of each other on to a color on the roulette
wheel. spin the wheel, but save the game once you spin the wheel. don't
let the wheel stop after spinning the wheel. then watch which color it
lands on. reload the game and place the money on the winning color. this
should give you 9 stacks of 100 gold for each hundred you bet. then save
the game again here. spin the wheel, if you win, then you should have
more money than you'll ever need but if you don't win, reload and spin the
wheel again. do this until you do win. Earns you too muchmoney in only a
little time.

you need to have enough money to buy the ship. i think you need 600 gold,
but you can't get it all in trinsic, so go to another town and steal some
more.

From what i remember (haven't played U7 in a while)the boat LB gives the
deed to you for is in Vesper, isn't it?. I'd rather save me money up for a
deed to buy a boat in Trinsic or Britain. But its up to you my friend.

Yah, LB will give you the deed for a boat found in Vesper, but only if
you have the FOV addon. Otherwise, if you are short on cash, go to the
enterance to the Dungeon Despise and get the magic carpet. It's free
regardless.

How you spend your money is entirely your affair, as a matter of fact I
never used a boat in U7BG at all, I was merely pointing out that there
was a way of getting a getting a boat without stealing (or carrying
pumpkins for 200 years).
