and short of replacing existing ones, likely to remain as unreachable.
Jeff's said he used extensive bitpacking to make everything fit in 4 megs of
ram, and that details about the file format/data structures were all hard
coded, and not modifyable by changing a constant (max_ship_designs = 17 for
example) and basicly unchangeable short of a total code rewrite

That seems pretty good. Adding Ship designs is becoming something of a Holy

Grail. I used that other Stars Editor to make Beams that have range 8. Is
the warp 10 limit built into the game? Is their no code that could be added
or altered to make travelling past this speed possible?..
