what are the runes for????

[MAIBUNS]

Play on 199.3.14.33 and you will see how it works. well, there are 4
types of runes. each represents a special power that you get when you
pick one up. usually you can only carry one rune and it sticks with
you until you die. the runes are;

1. Black Magic: this is a double damage rune. (like the
quad but half as much....duh???)

2. Regeneration: you get regeneration when you are hurt. it
also keep you 100 health stay one 100 too.

3. Haste: this increase the speed of your movement ( i
think) and the firing speed.

4. Elder Magic: this is like an armor.

there! each one looks different and you will have to test them out
yourself.

Oh, now I understand. So that's why the shareware version only allows one
episode. As long as I play the shareware version, the rune I get at the end
of episode 1 is useless.

I wish they would've explained that. It would've made more sense to me to
think about registering Quake.

My main reason for not registering Quake is because Episode 1 is large
enough. I simply can't image having to play all 4 episodes. It would take
all day.

I like the shareware version mainly because it is not too large and I can
play it in under two hours.
