I was interested in running a server for a small game of quake III, but
I have run into a bit of a problem. I'm running Linux and I have
several interfaces that are used by the system. The primary interface
is on 192.168.1.1. This IP address is for the local area network only
and is not accessible from outside my home. Unfortunately, Quake III
uses this as the address of my machine when setting up a server. No one
in the outside world can access it.
How do I tell Quake to use a different interface?
Another quick question:
What kind of bandwidth is necessary to support a small game (2-4
players)?
Thanks in advance,
