Is the Woirld Chess Federation an important entity? Does it have any
important sponsorship? -- David Ames
If it did it wouldn't be at the Riv.
How the hell can someone who never made it past USCF 2200+ call
himself World Champion? There are people playing in the parks of
Budapest and Amsterdam who could clean his clock with regularity.
And this dragging out the corpse of Fischer....
I'd really like one of those pins. ;-)
No, no, you're missing what was actually posted here. "Woirld Chess
Federation" was spelled with an "i" in "Woirld." Therefore the winner
would be "Woirld Chess Champion," not "World Chess Champion."

While looking for this, I discovered a video of Susan Polgar losing a
5-minute game.
I do not know who her opponent was but he did not seem to be a strong
player as he could easily have defeated her much quicker than he did.
He is at best a Class-A player.

This may explain why Susan has not played in a long time.

'Nuff said.
- Mike Petersen
well then if the are not chickens they come come to Las Vegas and try
Of course I still have all the scoresheets so Mike is a liar just as
he was back then. Every game submitted was played This was nothing
more than Mike assisting to try to keep out organizers like myself and
Thad Rogers from running Florida events. Hey Mike are you still
calling up hotels claiming to be Thad Rogers and saying you are
canceling the event?
Well, well, well. I have managed to drag the insect from under the
rock, exactly the same way I did when he cheated in Florida. It's
fascinating that Stan calls me a liar when the affidavits tell the
story. If I were the liar I would not have been able to obtain
several depositions from players victimized by the Vaughan.
So, go forward, Stan, and call me a liar again. And, while you're at
it, don't forget to call the other five people liars who signed
affidavits against you. We are all liars. Stan is the only truth.
Sigh. What a moron...but wait, not the only one. You have managed to
convince gullible people in Vegas that you are the World Chess
Federation champion, the best chessplayer in the world. Of course.
Of course. Stan is unbeatable.
Tell you what, Stan. You go ahead and have the last word. Enjoy
yourself stomping on my total incredulity. It's obvious that I
conspired against you, convincing all those people to sign affidavits
against you. You're telling the truth. That's why the USCF banned
you for 3 years.
Har!
- Mike Petersen
I hear he is challenging Kevin Bachler and Jude Acers to see who is
best at rigging a tournament.
He's still banned as a TD, along with a couple of his sockpuppets. But
if he's starting his own organization, I don't suppose that matters.
Good luck and good riddance. Most likely he'll swindle some of our
duller citizens, but it it wasn't him it would be someone else.
Careful, there. Stan in a very important person. You can tell
because he's got several countries named after him -- PakiSTAN,
AfghaniSTAN, etc.
David Ames
Yes Peterson and the 5 friends of his are liars. And wasn't it
interesting he could only find five friends to lie for him?
You can't even find one.
Vaughan is Not a banned TD. In fact if USCf is falsely claiming then
they are in violatuion of court order . There was a hearing at Union
Plaza re a false complaint by a Goichberg sock puppet and was
attended by Hanon Russell. The 252 page transcript shows that the
complainant, and 5 so called witrnesses for him were all supeoned and
all refused to follow through with testimony whereas 51 witnesses for
NSCA and Vaughan came forward to testify games in fact were played.
Rather than confirm attempted action to revoke the USCF declined to
conytinue the hearing and the USCF attorney Ulrich Smith said it was
the stupidest case he had ever been asked to represent as the USCF had
no case.
Later NOVAG pulled their sponsorship of the USCF Grand Prixs after
USCF refused to pay off 3 Nevada players including Vaughan who won
prize money, Vaughan finishing 7th in the 1998 USCF Grand Prix
nationally.
If USCF is violating the court order evidence would be appreciated but
who wants to waste winning a judgement on such a bankrupt
organization....financially as well as morally.
Uh huh. Then I guess the presence of his name on the list of revoked
and sus[pended TDs for the last decade was just an optical illusion.

There's been a long-standing debate among those of us who remember
Stan Vaughan's antics as to whether he's simply a con man or actually
delusional. I used to lean towards the former, but I'm beginning to
have doubts.

I was playing him in the old NOST and unleashed a Bxh7+ sac on about
move 10, easy to see even in a blitz game, winning, and the response I
received was some long-winded response about how he could not continue
the game due to his campaign for President (yes of the United States).
Vaughan's rating has been 2211 since he last played in 1999. There are
no floors above 2200 (they were abolished years ago). I don't know if
his claim of getting over 2400 is true or not (I don't have a 1986
rating list handy), but even if he did, well, so did Claude Bloodgood.
(I'd be curious to know if he played in any tournaments not run by
himslff or his sockpuppets during that period.) As for the "Advanced
Life Master" thing, those titles had nothing to do with rating. They
were based on "norms," which meant you could get one with about two
good performances, even if you had 20 lousy ones in between.
Don't we have enough delusional types here already without Vaughan
rejoining the coven?
