and without comments of a negative nature I'd be interested in finding
out where the following chess personalities from here or USCF are
now? Hopefully they are all still living whether political friend or
foe.

Steve Doyle
James Eade
Tom Dorsch
George John
Kevin Bachler
Al Lawrence
Neil Brennan
Stan Booz
Dee Knudsen
Louis Blair
Mike Cavallo former USCF ED.
Frank Niro former USCF ED.
Doris Barry
Tim Just
the guy from Nevada can't remember his name, he was friends with Stan
Vaughn
Richard Peterson the one who started his own kiddy organization.

Like I said I'm not interested in insulting comments about them only
about where they are or if they are still involved in chess?

Vaughan" was Tom Klem. He died in 2006 and you can find his obituary
on the Internet. Doris Berry quit chess after her husband Denis died
and she threw out all his chess stuff which we found out about when we
asked her for some records. Al Lawrence now works in Hong Kong where
he makes a gazillion bucks selling chess computer. Tom Dorsch dropped
out but is still active on Mike Goodall's email list and attacked Sam
Sloan there only yesterday. Richard Peterson dropped out of chess and
now organizes poker tournaments Caveman Kevin Bachler is a frequest
poster to the USCF Forums. Neil Brennen dropped out but comes back to
attack "Nearly an IM" Innes. George John dropped out (happy to see him
go). You did not ask about John "Smart for a Fernandez" Fernandez. He
got a real job (gasp) and dropped out. Booz dropped out of politics
but still plays chess. Doyle is still active. Louis Blair is still
compiling long lists of quotes. Jim Eade has dropped out but still
posts occasionally. Eade no longer publishes chess books. Have not
heard from Dee Knudson in years. Bruce Draney of course is long gone.

Dee Knudson is still an officer in South Dakota Chess. A city council
member in Sioux Falls. Her husband Dave Knudson is State senate
Majority leader. They still raise money for chess with the Sioux
Empire Chess Foundation. The past years they held the Governors Cup.

Thanks for the info Terry. Heath and I were just up in Deadwood and
Lead on July 10th and I thought about you. Unfortunately we were
making for Chadron and didn't have time to come into Rapid and give
you a call.

Peterson's Chess Education Association conducts the All America Cup in
Chandler, Ariz., each November, at which I've been a director for five
years running.
