Are they men or women? Or both? Hard to tell from their names.

Just ignore the idiotic troll Ray Lopez.

Thanks for the link, your website is great.

Shiite 4 brains: fraternizing with the French (enemy) will win you
know points in your home country, fool.

And if you could read French, like I cannot, you would see the helpful
header: Laurent Fressinet et Almira Skripchenko
vainqueurs des championnats de France d'échecs 2010 respectivement
masculin et féminin.

Which translates to: X and Y, champs of France 2010, man and woman,
respectively.

So you see my question was a good one, and was addressed by the
website. The girl looks kind of cute...wonder if she would date me.

Laurent Fressinet and Almira Skripchenko are married. Skripchenko
comes from a strong chess family, her father having invented a
variation of the Slav.

I doubt she would leave her 2700-rated husband to date someone with a
Playchess Elo that has dipped as low as 1380-something recently.
Especially one with all the personality of a warthog.

With respect, Steve, I believe she's married to Joel Lautier:

Read further Mark:

She married French Grandmaster Joël Lautier in 1997 and consequently
moved to live in France. Despite separating from Lautier in 2003, she
became a French citizen in 2001 and continued to make France her home.
Skripchenko then married French Grandmaster Laurent Fressinet and in
January 2007, gave birth to a daughter.

We all make mistakes, it isn't a big deal.

Is this a first for a husband and wife to be national champions
concurrently?

I see the question at least partially answered here:

Can you give me some pointers?

Laurent, a woman, married a Skripchenko, a "she", who gave birth to a
daughter? Gay marriage with a surrogate father? Crazy French
(defense).

SBD you are a poor excuse of a fart category. Put up one of YOUR best
games now, so we can analyze it. Don't wanna see any old masters,
because you, sir, are no master. Old yes, master no. Masturbater
yes, Master baiter no.
