Fritz asked today, as it does from time to time, for a CD check.
So I putted the CD in, the small "CD check" window appeared and
a moment after, the big "installation" window. I clicked on the
"close" button to close that window, and now the small window shows
again on which I clicked the "check" button. The window says
"Searching" and after a moment , "thanks". I then clicked "OK" and the
window disappeared. All the other times, I could then load the program
without problem for a considerable time until it asked for another
check. Now however, I can't. Although the checking procedure
goes on normally, the program refuses to acknowledge it; Each time
I start Fritz, it asks for a CD check. I have repeated the procedure
several time, but to no avail: it still asks for the CD each time.
Of course, I can click on the "cancel" or "OK" button
to make the window disappear and use the program but nonetheless,
this is very annoying...
Last week I've updated the program to the latest patch and every thing
worked fine until today.
Any idea on what might be the problem?
Thanks,
Francois Bertin
good luck.

I have been having the same problem with Fritz6 lately as well. Since I can
just cancel the box without problems, Im not too worried about it, but its
there.
Fritz 6 did this for the first couple of times that I ran it. Now my CD
is safely on my shelf and Fritzie is running very nicely.

I had the same problem after upgrading from Win98 to WinME. And I fixed the
problem (after a couple of hour of experiments) by deleteing of the f6.ini
file..

Look around in the INI file for talk.cht. In mine the path statement was to
my A: drive. I changed it to the actual path on my hard drive and that fixed
it.
