Sam, rumors about my death are somewhat exaggerated.
With all the forgeries, while I looked to make sure it was really you
who posted the "news" and I found it was, could you please check the email
purportedly from GM Rogers with the announcement?
The reason for asking is that Ian Rogers has had his email account
hijacked. The hijacked account was used to send out forged emails such
as the recent one "from" our resident Ambassador and active "Reagent",
which I reproduce below.
I trust you too are in the very pink of health, Sam, and I thank
everyone for their solicitude.
Suffice it to say that I did not choke myself on beef, chicken or
even fish. This is because I do not eat chicken.

The message was posted under the same account Larry Parr has been
using here for years. Using Google's "find messages by this author"
function brings up hundreds of messages indisputably by the genuine
Parr. Therefore either he has not died, or someone else is still using
his account and posing as him.
Can we get some actual facts here? So far we have just had a report
from the notoriously unreliable Sloan, and a notice has appeared on a
couple of amateur blogs:

But now we have (seemingly) Parr himself contradicting these. One

The report supposedly from Larry Parr that Parr is still alive is
posted from dizum.com Parr has never used dizum.com dizum.com is an
anonymous re-mailer that is regularly used by "The Fake Sam Sloan".
So, this report that Parr is still alive is probably from the same
person who posts the Fake Sam Sloan messages.
The person who originally informed me that Parr had died was a close
associate, Hamid, in Malaysia, where Parr was living. It is an even
sicker than usual joke by the Fake Sam Sloan to say that Parr is still
alive.
Parr has been in poor health for a number of years. With what he had I
am surprised he lived as long as he did. In a private email he had
asked me not to reveal or allude to his true medical condition.
Here are the headers to the posting by the "Fake Larry Parr" which
prove that Parr did not send this.

The posting came from dizum.com , an anonymous remailer. Larry Parr
has never used dizum.com but the Fake Sam Sloan often does.
Taylor Kingston has also been one of the most frequent critics of
Larry Parr. It is no wonder that he did not receive the death
announcements.

to tell if he is dead from when he wasn't dead so now he is no longer
