I have Genius 4, and I am trying to decide if it's worth it to upgrade to
Genius 5. Can anybody answer the following questions:

Does Genius 5 offer a higher resolution 2D display than Genius 4? Genius
4 only offered 640X480. Not so great for a Windows program. Fritz 4
really sets the standard here. I don't care about the 3D board.

I read that Genius 5 plays a more interesting and active game than Genius
4. Is it really noticable difference?

Do the Genius 4 Master Books and User Books work with Genius 5?

Shure, you can use the normal resolution under Windows, for example
1024X768 !

When I use Genius 4 in 1024X768, the pieces are too small to play with.
Genius 4 looks worse, not better in higher resolution unlike Fritz which
really shines in 1024X768. The board and pieces are as sharp as a
diagram in a chess book -- no jagged edges at all. Very easy on the
eyes.

Does the Genius 5 board and pieces look sharper in 1024X768 as compared
to 640X480 (like Fritz does), or is it just usable in high resolution
without any improvement to board or pieces.

Yes, they look sharper and larger of course, but they weren't improved
per se. They just look better on a better video card.
