I just installed my new Fritz 7 and downloaded an upgrade for it.

After a couple of hours of playing with it, I discovered that it is possible
to have an analysis board in addition to the panes that were present in
Fritz 6

Has anybody played with this new Analysis Board? It would be interesting to
compare notes on what could be done with it.

I find it most useful in Centaur/Advanced chess, where
it can be used to check the variants the engine produces
for deep hidden threats.

Does it automatically show the variations of the engine as in CA or do you
have to enter them manually? I'd be curious to know how Advanced Chess using
Fritz 7 on the Fritz server compares to Advanced Chess using CA6 on ICC. I
know the latter, but nothing about the experience with F7.

A centaur is a mythical creature with the head and torso of a man
joined to the body of a horse. So it is a combination of two. It has
been translated to the combination of man and machine, operating as
one.

Centaur chess or more common, advanced chess, is a player playing
chess with (legal) computer assistance.

Hmm! There is probably a lot more of that going around than anyone would
care to admit.
