Does anyone know how to activate the function ,using the keyboard in
Chessbase, (when a game board is open), under "Game"- "Annotation"-
"Editorial annotation".

The function says that it can be performed using "Ctrl-Shift-R", but
when I try this, the reference box opens instead.
Is this a misprint?

It seems to be. "Editorial annotation" (RR) may be added to the space preceding
a move by hitting $ (shift-4) and selecting the second item in the menu which
this keystroke produces.
