I have several games in PGN format on a diskette. I have been trying to
copy them all
to the "database" screen in Extreme Chess, but I seem to only have one
game at a time
listed there. This is strange, because I think I used to be able to
transfer several games
to this list and have them all there simultaneously. Did I accidentally
make some change?
Or was I never able to do it, and I'm just going crazy?

Also (and perhaps related?), I sometimes have trouble deleting a game
from that list.

If anybody can offer a suggestion about how to correct these
difficulties, I would
appreciate it. Thanks.

I recently bought Extreme Chess. I rather like it, though the UI is a
little buggy.

The copy works for me (though I've only copied games one at a time). First
load a (source) database, select the game to copy, press copy, and then
select the destination database in the dialog.

To copy games from more than one database (each .pgn file is a different
database), I guess you'd have to load each database in turn, and then copy
into one destination database.

As far as I can tell you can delete games in a database in Extreme's
database format (.cbf) but not in .pgn databases.

Hope this helps,

Simply use Shift-END to highlight all the games on the diskette. Then press
on copy and then choose the database you want from
the dialog box and then press ok. You can't delete any of the pgn games
from within Extreme but go to the Windows Explorer, and open up the file
using Wordpad and then cut the games out that you want and press File/Save.
