KnightCap is a chess program I've written for the AP1000+ distributed
memory parallel computer. Its main features are:
- lousy play (worse than gnuchess - its rated at 1950 on ICS)
- a rendered 3D chess display that you can view from any
angle
- designed for a parallel computer, but also runs on
unix workstations.
KnightCap has only a fairly basic chess algorithm. It has no opening
book or endgame database.
KnightCap plays regularly on FICS at ics.onenet.net.
