crafty error when trying to play

hi i dled crafty from that ftp site and i had no problems with crafty
19.03 but i dled now crafty 19.08 and it gives several errors

first it says it can't find the opening books and then it exits after
the first move and says there is an error in crafty.exe ????

anyone that knows what i am doing wrong , also when i dl the zip file
from that ftp site i couldn't find the crafty exe file , had to dl it
seperately , the 19.08 that is

uhm i am prolly not doing it right lol

i had no problems with 19.03 , but when i compare the versions there
seem to be alot of new files in the 19.08 lol and no idea why it can't
find the opening books and why it gives me that error , plse if anyone
knows how to fix it , all help would be welcome ty

and for your info i tried it with the dos version and with winboard ,i
use windows ME

oh and is there anyone that knows if there is somewhere a readme file
that talks about all the changes between the different crafty versions
??
