Hello-
42 games in my database, some of these computer, junior, simultaneous,
etc. but mostly master tournaments, no doubles.
[C00] French: Lengfellner System
42 games, White won 30, drew 6, and lost 6.
Not one recognizable name playing any of the Black side of this. Here
are three games where White is "someone"....

I dont think your going to run into this defense very often in the
future.....
A typical game for us might proceed:
1. e4 e6 2. d4 d6 3. Nf3 Nf6 4. Nc3 Nc6 5. Bd3 Bd7 6. h3 Be7 7. Be3 O-O 8.
Qd2 h7 9. O-O-O
Playing white, the plan here for me is to get the space advantage, castle
queenside, and then nail him with the kingside pawn storm. Some later moves
for me (varying orders depending on what my opponent does) are g4, e5, Rdg1,
etc. Often I will sacrifice my king knight to gain a time advantage as
well.
Playing black, his idea is to give me the space advantage (this is the part
I don't understand) and mount an attack on the queenside. Providing I don't
blunder and even sometimes when I do, I usually beat him at this opening
game.
As far as a name goes, other than starting out as the French and going
astray rather quickly, I don't know of a name for it. As for recent games
I'll leave that to the database experts. Hope this helps.

I play this as Black in 1-0 games.
With Nd7 and c5
Doesn't always work !

For the record, Emmanuel Bricard is a French IM and was French
champion. He used to test lots of weird lines.
