Hello. As the subject says, I am looking for Chess
tactics/mate puzzles in PGN with solutions. There are many
puzzle sites on the web, but all seem to use some graphical
represenation (GIFs or the-like) and I as a blind computer user
can't use them. PGN is fine, I have PGN reader software
which works for me (soon), so I thought maybe someone
here knows a resource for such things. I'd also like to try to maybe
build a little blind friendly web interface for such a datafile
sooner or later, but primarily looking for my own learning experience
right now. Any ideas? I know the 1001 brilliant ways to checkmate,
but that file has no solutions.

Hi.
Recently I found something like what you are looking for. I'm sorry,
that I don't remember where. I put it into the public_html of my
computer. You can access it through
<http://service.physik.uni-giessen.de/~manu/tactics/>
The File Pgn.zip which I downloadet form somewhere contains the fiels
Tactic1.pgn - Tactic12.pgn. The file Tactic.pgn is just a concatenation
of these all. The tactics.s?3 files are the same games in a
scid-database. tactics2.ps is a printable version created with the
latex-export filter of scid.

All the puzzles have the critical position in a FEN-tag in the
pgn-header and the soulution with a few variants as pgn-text.

Most of them contain the players and the date. So it looks like they are
from real games which should be easily found in a database if one is
interested in the whole game.

I hope I could help you.

Greetings,
Manuel Hölß.

Have a look at: http://www.crosswinds.net/~ossimitz/tactic.htm

Some of the collections have solutions IIRC.
