Pass. Second choice 'no bid'.
The golden rule on misfit hands is to stop bidding at the first opportunity.
Also note that partner has, at most, 12 points, and so is probably quite
distributional.

++++D'accord. I can't imagine anything that will improve the shining
hour. If Four Spades can make +170 should be okay. If we're genuinely on
about 60% I don't want to rock the boat.
2S = S and a minor : Is this 5 Spades and 4 card minor? is it possible
your partner has 6 or more spades? Does it also promise points?
I would bid 2NT asking partners minor. He will probably bid 3 club and
I bid 3 Heart.
Hi Jordan,
What is your overcalling style ?
Since I prefer destructive overcalls against
strong NT, I would pass, of course I would also change
my method ( DONT or Lionel ), to increase my chances,
that we can reach a sensible contract.
Playing constructive overcalls, you should Pass as well, since chances
of making 3NT are remote, and 2NT forces partner to show his minor
suit, likely clubs, how will you feel and what do you do then?
Bid 3NT (after telling the opponents all relevant infos for their
opening lead (it does not hurt here, but ...), or play in an 5-2 Fit
or 4-2 Fit on the three level, instead of playing on the 2 level?
With kind regards
Marlowe
I would pass. Partner probably has the black suits and we are in a
misfit auction. Also, against a strong notrump, partner's 2S tends to
be more of a destructive bid than a constructive bid so the prospects
for game is not high. 2S may just well make. Why can't partner have
something like: S AJ9xx H x D xx C AQxxx? If all contracts are
going minus, 2S will probably go the least minus. If our side can make
3D maybe 2S will score at least the same. Bidding 3H could work but it
is a random shot in the dark. Trying to play in 3H suggests you don't
think partner has his 2S bids.

I'm passing.
Will partner agree that (1NT)-2S-2NT-3C-3H is
hearts? My hearts aren't good enough
to tempt me to find out.
I agree with the pass and the reasons behind it made by the other posters.
This shows up one of the many serious defects in Cappelletti. You might
have a great diamond fit, but cannot find it.
Some posters think they may be able to wriggle to 3H. I doubt it.
Now try good old Astro (or Aspro or Asptro). Partner bids 2D (spades and
another suit), you bid 2H (weak, and showing <3 spades). Now partner can
try 3 of a minor if his minor is longer than his spades, and you can pass.
But suppose he bids 2S. Now you bid 2NT (what's your other suit?), partner
bids 3C, and now you bid 3H. This is clearly non-forcing, because of the
weakness-showing 2H bid.
Astro gives you totally superior methods with two suiters.
Cheers ... Bill.
