Partner should not control bid shortage in a suit where you have shown strength.
Are you seriously claiming your partner opened 2C, missing controls in spades and a minor?
Hard to believe, but if that is the case, how come he continued over 4H missing first and second round control in two suits?

I am not against bidding 5H, since you have nothing more to show.
But your analysis makes no sense to me.
I guess partner is more likely checking whether to bid a grand.
If partner continues with 5NT over 5H I bid 6D to show third round control

When I last used 2C SAF [about 25 years ago] rebids started naming
controls [first round before second round]. Thus in this auction I
would rebid 3S and and then ‘sign off’ in hearts- thereafter
cooperating with opener.

In that vein for this case, by rebidding 4H responder has denied minor
suit controls. So opener’s 4S** infers that he’s got minors sewn up
[opposite a partner that doesn’t have them it would be insane to go
past the four level with no slam makable] and needs to be raised to 5S
giving him options.

** it doesn’t matter if 4S was based on first round or length, opener
needs to know responder’s cards

*** Agree. Hard to believe partner is missing three controls (as you seem to be suggesting).
But 1 = *one critical* control is what I suggested, NOT 2 or 3 by your analysis makes "NO SENSE".

With nothing more to show I bid 5H. Since you didn't show any minor suit control over 4S you can only have the ace and king of spades.
