Battle of Talana Hill board game on the Web

game rule system to play out the various battles. The first "edition" of

I've kicked off with the Battle of Talana (since that was the first
battle of the Boer War, it seems the logical choice). One of my design
criteria was to keep the board small enough to print on a standard A4
sheet of paper. I've tried to keep the rules simple while incorporating
elements of my favourite games Titan, Squad Leader and The Sword and The
Flame.
One of my ambitions in putting the game on the Web is to recruit an
enthusiastic group of volunteers to help polish the rules, especially
the victory conditions and terrain modifiers which I've found difficult
to get right. My play testers so far (mainly my long-suffering wife)
have had the rules explained to them by me, so the written version needs
some blind testing. If I haven't made myself clear, please let me know
and I'll expand on the parts that are confusing.
Please give the game a bash while I work on creating a map and counters
for Elandslaagte which was the battle which took place the day after
Talana Hill. The game is distributed under the usual condition that
hobbyists are free to make themselves a copy while commercial
publishers who believe they can print this game for profit are also
welcome provided they cut me in.
