Axis and Allies Iron Blitz CD-ROM

I found this info on the IronBlitz new scenarios at:
http://www.zone.com/axisandallies/tips/axisironblitz.asp

1939 Historical
1939B Russia in the Axis
1939C USA Stands Apart
1942A Russia Neutral
1945A Aggressive Russia, Historical
1945B Aggressive Russia, Japan Defeated
Cold War Flashpoint Europe

Anyone can tell us more about these scenarios?

earlier in the war...germany and japan have less territories but more
starting ipc's and have a pretty good military advantage. it is very
possible for germany to take karelia on the first turn, so the ussr has
to reinforce karelia heavily.

early war, russia is axis and japan is allied. russia and germany have
to strike early in asia and africa to have any chance.

as it says. uk and russia vs japan and germany. i like this one best.
i usually play allied and tilt the advantage a little more towards the
axis to give the ai a good advantage. the ai still blows it, but it
usually takes me a few more rounds to win on this setup.

>

classic setup but russia is out.

>
> 1945A Aggressive Russia, Historical

japan allies herself with russia to fight uk and usa. germany is non
existent but russia can ressurect her by capturing the capital, which
they can easily do on the first turn. pretty cool setup with a lot of
pieces already in play at the start.

same as above except no japan.

>
> Cold War Flashpoint Europe

pretty boring setup. every country has every technological advance so
it becomes bomber wars. the ai is too stupid to figure this out. buy
nothing but bombers and you won't lose.

General question: when a country is neutral, can these areas be attacked? And
do these neutral areas have units of their own?

Is Eastern Europe neutral or even British controlled? (thus reflecting
Poland)? When does the US and the USSR enter the war?

If Japan is Allied what happened with China. As I would say that an Allied
Japan cannot occupy areas of the Ally China...

Can these technologies be turned off using the editor?

By the way: thanks for replying!

They can be attacked, for the cost of 3 IPC's, no units.

Germany already occupies Eastern Europe.

No, they can't occcupy it, they retain Kwantung & Manchuria.

we usually play this one ussr restricted (no attack first round). so...germany
gets to attack first...ussr can buy & place pieces and do non combat moves. us
enters first turn. there is no way to keep them out a set # of turns.

western europe is uk controlled but eastern is germany controlled.

yes. you can use the editor to modify any of the scenarios or create your own.
