I believe that Simonsen was one of the founders of SPI, and that he
also designed Panzerblitz (one of the all-time best-selling wargames)
for Avalon Hill. In the 70's and 80's he was behind a number of SPI's
science fiction and fantasy games. But he seems to have disappeared
under mysterious circumstances when SPI was in its death throes.
Does anyone have the real scoop on what he did or didn't do, where he
is now, or any other relevant information?

He is working for a computer firm in, I think, Texas. Every so often he
contributes a paragraph or so on the theme "where I am now" to S&T or F&M.
One of these just recently appeared in S&T. He says he is out of cardboard
wargaming, but might some day make a comeback in the computer wargaming
field.

Redmond is alive and well and never doing a board wargame again.

He can be found on the BIX network in the Amiga area and also makes an
occasional visit to the Wargaming base on GEnie.
