Sad to say, Twixt was dropped. We need to find some rich individual or
corporation willing to throw money at the game! Is £5,000 too much to
ask? ...

Actually, it *hasn't* been dropped! The MSO webmaster only found this
out at about 10pm last night, though. I can confirm that the details of
the Twixt tournament are:

TWIXT
Prize fund GBP 500

Twixt World Championship
August 25th, 10am - 2pm
Entry fee GBP 13 (GBP 5 for juniors)
Prize fund: 1st GBP 300, 2nd GBP 150, 3rd GBP 50

The schedule page (that's http://www.mindsports.co.uk/ for all you Web
surfers out there) has since been updated and sent to the MSO's server
operator, so it ought to be up RSN - probably Monday. There are also
news updates about Hexdame, Stratego, Skat and a couple of other events.

Thanks very much for all your interest in the MSO; I do intend to
advertise it on pertinent newsgroups in a responsible fashion, but not
before the complete schedule is available and totally settled. :-)

See you at Olympia!
Chris
