We averaged a rollicking 33.3 points per turn as a group.
My biggest regret was being too chicken to empty my rack
and go out with RESINATE. I played it safe with LATRINES
instead and had to play off the leftover E next turn. By
the way, for the third or fourth time, someone opened a
game with an 8-tile play (MOODIEST). This is a "6-timer",
a double-triple-word score, something that's never seen in
classic Scrabble.
We only had one Q on the evening. A couple of games had 7 S.
One game had 7 L. One game only had 79% of the expected number
of vowels for the total number of tiles in the game. Every
game is fresh and different!
Hey, folks, it shouldn't take so much work trying get a
little dialog going on Scrabble II vs. "classic" Scrabble -
"classic" in quotes because the modern game drowning in
silly little 2- and 3-letter words nobody's ever used in
his life can't possibly be what the inventors had in mind.
Scrabble II is to "classic" Scrabble as a Thanksgiving
feast is to stale crackers and lukewarm water. What's more
exciting - JO, QI, XU, and ZA game after game after game
(snore) . . . or the nice, fresh, juicy words you see below?
Try it and come back and tell me what an idiot I am.
