I'm going to Vienna for a couple of days. Can anybody point me out any good
game shops. I'm mainly interested in German-style board games.

Well, provided that it's Vienna/Austria, then I'm happy to help! ^_^

There are 3 game stores located on/near Mariahilfer Straße, close to
Westbahnhof:

"Spielerei": Mariahilfer Straße 88a, Subway line U3 Station "Zieglergasse"
http://www.spielerei.at/spielerei/main.html [Very good selection]

"Planet Harry": Otto Bauer Gasse 19, Subway line U3 Station "Zieglergasse", in
the side street opposite to Spielerei http://www.planetharry.at/
[Best prices AFAICT, but not that many baord games (yet), as it's a new shop].

"Damage Unlimited": Theobaldgasse 20, Subway line U3 Station "Neubaugasse"
http://www.damage-town.com/ [Probably best selection, but slightly more
expensive than the other shops]

Then there's the famous (in Vienna) toy shop 'Kober' on Graben pedestrian zone
in the inner city: Graben 14-15 (Subway line U1 and U3)
[Good selection in the board game section, traditional games as well]

There are quite a few more. You can find links to other shops at

Hope that helps,

^_^ Roland
