Rules for Booby Trap

I was home over the holidays, dug out my old Booby Trap game from 20+ years
ago for my kids to play with, but the rules have long since disappeared.
From previous posts, I have gathered:

It's pretty simple: Pull the spring bar back, fill the box with the pucks
and set the bar down gently. Then players take turns pulling out the
pucks until the bar snaps down and sends the pucks flying. Small puck is
one point, medium is two, large is three.

My remaining questions are as follows: When does the game end? If the spring
moves a certain amount? Does the person who sprung the spring lose and the
remaining people count their points? Does the game ever end without the
spring springing? Can you "pass" your turn? If the spring moves, but not
much, is that OK? Is there any rules for in-between not moving, and spring
sprung? i.e. the bar moved less than a notch so you don't lose but you don't
get to keep the piece you pulled either...
Sorry to ramble, if anyone can fill in the rules for me, I'd appreciate it.

It's been at least 25 years since I last played the game (and 15 since I sold
it at a garage sale) but if I remember correctly...
The game consists of turns proceeding in clockwise manner until all the pieces
were removed from the trap. A turn gave a player a chance to remove a piece.
If the bar did not move past the next notch on the side of the trap, you got to
keep it (I seem to remember points of 5, 10, and 25 but 1, 2, and 3 work too).
If the bar moved past a notch, you did not receive points for the piece.
Either way, your turn was over and the next player got a chance at the
remaining mess. When the last piece is removed, tally up the score.
I don't remember being able to pass your turn.
If I remember correctly, it's not a real deep game so you could make up your
own rules without much flack from the "Official Booby-Trap Game Players
Association" ;-)

2 to 6 players
Instructions for playing
Equipment:
1 spring action game board
22 large yellow plain playing pieces
22 medium green playing pieces
22 small red playing pieces
Object:
- To gain the most points by successfully removing colored pieces from the board.
To begin:
- Pull the spring bar back and holid it. Place all the pieces in the playing
area
and then, release the bar gently.
- Choose the Starting Player.

The rubber band may be replaced with any 2 1/2 inch No 16 rubber band
The PLay:
- On your turn you must remove one piece from the playing area. You may test
one piece by touching it but not removing it. If it feels too risky, the second
piece
touched must be removed.

If you remove a piece and the pointer does not move past a large mark, keep the
piece; and your turn is over.

If you cause the pointer to move past a large mark, your turn is over. Any piece
removed on the turn plus any pieces which popped up must be placed in the
discard area.
- Play continues until the number of pieces on the board equals the number of
players
(three players play until three pieces are left)'
You must not touch the spring bar or any part of the board once play has started
or you are out of the game.
Winner:
- Add up your points: yellow = 3 Green = 2 red = 1
The player with most points is the winner.
