I have a copy of the first boxed edition of Tom Wham's Snit's Revenge for
sale (the first edition overall was of course in Dragon #11).

The first boxed edition had a pastel-colored box and a paper board. The
second edition had a wraparound laminated board and a primary-colored picture.
The third, most common, edition, came in a long flat box and had a mounted
board. The first edition also differs from the others in that it has
matte-finish counters which are less brightly colored than the glossy ones
in the later editions. The first edition is the favorite of Tom Wham himself,
and I like it too - the paper board is larger than the later ones, and thus
easier to use, and the glossy counters tend to have the lamination peel
off with age.

The game is complete and generally in good shape. The counters have been
punched but are all present, including the blanks, and are in excellent
condition. The empty counter sheet is included. The map is in very good
condition, showing very slight wear along the folds, and the rules are much
the same. The dice might or might not be originals - they're red, which is
correct, but larger than they should be. Of course, TSR might have used
different sizes of dice.

The box is the only part of the game with any real problems. The lid has
a fair amount of indentation and there is a small tear in the paper at one
corner (the box itself is intact, though). In addition, both front and back
have a lot of brown spots - not from mildew, as there's no odor, but from
something similar. The spots are pretty pale and they're not really all
that noticeable on the cover.

I'm asking $60 for this plus shipping. This may seem steep, but copies of
this edition in this condition come up for sale very rarely. I am certainly
open to lower offers. I am also open to trade offers - see below.

Things I want:

Not generally available gaming items:
Extreme Paranoia (board game prototype)
Montage (flat-box edition)
Timbuktu (Imperium, not db Spiele)
Die Chinesische Mauer
Consensus (election game)
Parlement (Charles Wells, later edition preferred)

Svea Rike & Batalj (new edition, preferably)
Spanish Main, 3rd edition (blue box)
Rare/promotional Button Men
Middle Sea (FGU)
Raiders & Traders
Early Pacific Battles
Java Man (Pardine)

Games I can buy, but would be willing to take for trade credit a little
below cost:
Kings & Castles (Ragnar)
Angola (Ragnar)
Oschersleben track for DTM
Dicke Kartoffeln (2nd, 6-player edition)
Evo (English language edition)
Chariot Lords
