The feature has existed for 3.5 years.

What version is reported when you go to Help Menu/About GNUBG/Build
Info. What does the first line say? An example is: Version GNU
Backgammon 0.90-mingw 20120408 .

I guess you meant the "bug" was a "feature". I was taking it literally,
and that the "End Game/quick Game" button has been around for 3.5 years.

I highly recommend you consider putting bug reports in GNUBG's bug
tracking system, or join the GNUBG mailing list. The former option can
be done with out much effort. The bug tracking system is here:
https://savannah.gnu.org/bugs/?group=gnubg&func=additem

I reviewed the bug list and didn't see you ever contact us regarding the
issue. If you posted elsewhere in the hopes someone would notice, I
can't help that.

There was a *similar* (but not exactly the same) issue reported previously.

I am curious if you switch to 2D mode does the problem go away?

I don't read or write to any other bg forum other than here in rgb.

Yes it does. The problem may have been as old as the feature itself and I may not have noticed it because I was playing in 2D mode until recently.

Also, the resignation flag is on the opposite side of the board than the dice. In 2D mode the "resignation square" icon is displayed on the same side where is player's dice is rolled.

I hope these tips help fix it.

I had a hunch it may have been working in 2D. I have put an updated
gnubg.exe at this location:

http://www.capp-sysware.com/downloads/formurat/gnubg.exe

Close all running copies of GNUBG. Once downloaded, copy it it to your
GNUBG program folder (Overwrite the existing executable) and rerun GNUBG.

This should fix the issue that prevents you from using the GUI to
continue a match ended in a resignation when the "End Game" feature is
utilized. It should still work in 2D mode as well. When a game is
resigned you can click the middle of the board where the dice would be
to continue to the next game.

Can you try it and let me know?

Thanks

My virus protection won't let me run it but I'm sure it would work. I'll keep using the current release for now.

You biatch about wanting it fixed and then don't even bother trying to
test because your antivirus won't let you. The file contains no viruses
(it was scanned). You have a computer business and are known as the
"Computer Man". If that is true, then if you can't run this executable
(even with AV protection) you either are the most incompetent computer
tech I know, or you are using this as a lame excuse not to bother.

With that being said, I'll give you another chance. I went out of my way
to rebuild the install package for this test release, and put it up on
gnubg.org in the same location that I place all official releases.

The only way I will know that I fixed your problem is if you tell me. It
could be there is some other config option that prevents my fix from
working (I don't think so but I am not 100% confident).

The Installation program is here:

http://www.gnubg.org/media/windows/gnubg-TEST-20120515-setup.exe

It will not wipe out your existing settings if you install on top.

If you don't trust the files *I* put on gnubg.org I recommend you
uninstall any release of GNUBG posted on the site from the past 2 years.
I have produced all those official builds and uploaded all of them to
gnubg.org in the recent past.

Thanks
