Hello Hans-Marc,
Loosing a lot lately? There must be another explaination.

J.C. was over at my place this past weekend. He came over
to have some of my homebrew Mead and Cyser. We played BG
until after 2am. So you are full of $#!t.
Another miscreant chirped:
> Must be a Bush supporter.
After that we had a serious theological discussion as to
whether or not "Thou shalt not kill" was intended to protect
liberals. J.C. said told me not to worry about it since
fiscal liberals bypass Purgatory and go straight to hell.
Hope you enjoy the express elevator going down.

He also says that the bots cheat.
The Taliban disallowed chess for the same reason. It looks like your
in pretty good company.....

2. I am glad that the consequences of playing backgammon are related
to wandering to heaven or hell. I always thought hell is in my dice
cup when I roll an anti-joker, but no... Obviously I will encounter
many other fellow humans in hell. Maybe we can all have a nice
tournament over there, in a warm and cozy environment. And I can think
of a referee for the games. But silly me, he can愒 interfere.. He is
tied and nailed to a cross....
3. What about the couple of billion others such as moslems, jews,
buddhists, atheists, etc? Are they allowed to play backgammon? And if
so, will we have the pleasure to welcome them in hell to make it an
equal opportunity tournament for all humans?
4. I deeply appreciate such postings for they make life really
amusing...

As you know, Bush-style evangelicals in fact talk to Jesus. So I asked
him to clear it up, and actually he LOVES Modern Backgammon with the
doubling cube. It's that annoying Turkish version (Tavla) he hates ;-)
Maybe it's got something to do with backgammon originating from Iraq?

P.S. Wonder if the original posters cross-post had a trolling hook. Who
cares, fun to see this group still has a sense of humour.

I think it's the gambling or frivolity element that gets people. At
various times in various cultures, chess and go have been considered
sinful, wasteful or whatever -- those require just as much brainpower as
BG, with no chance element at all.
