I was wondering if anyone has purchased one of the hardwood backgammon
sets from Noble Games. They can be viewed at the following web site:

http://www.finest1.com/games/back.html

I am in Australia, so it is impossible for me to check them out before
taking delivery. I am interested in their construction quality, look
and feel. How do the spring storage mechanisms hold up to use?

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Just an observation...

Look closely at the picture on their web page. The white checkers are
stored in a "slot" in front of the board. Look at how wide the inner
board is compared to 6 white checkers. I think most people prefer sets
whose boards are only slightly wider than 6 checkers. to keep the
checkers from sliding all over the place.

Adrian,

Good luck with getting them to send the board to you.

I sent them an email to ask if they can ship boards to Japan - didn't even
get a response.

Pity - they sure do look like good boards.

I have one in brand new condition, never used. Dark green leather board, dark red and and black points.
