Hi. Does anyone have a reference to this game, which is played in a
Backgammon board and apparently is originated (or at least popular) in
Syria and/or Lebanon?

I want to improve the Portuguese wikipedia article on it:

Thanks. Backgammon Galore is indeed a rich and interesting reference
for variations on Backgammon and related games. However, to the best
of my knowledge it does not have Taule rules. Plakoto comes close, but
there are some differences (for one, in Taule no piece begins the game
already in place - all thirty of them must be entered through dice
rolling as if they had been captured prior to the game).
