Here's me, talking to myself again. I suppose I should be used
to it by now. At least I didn't trip over a Bellowing Bill IED this
time.
"Seems like Grand Hex should have a larger game tree than
ordinary Hex."
Yes. Every winning path in Hex can be extended to a superset
of winning paths in Grand Hex. Looking at it another way,
there are more ways to win in Grand Hex.
"So Hex has been proven to be merely a subset of Grand Hex."
In a sense.
"So Mark, Grand Hex seems really simple and obvious. How come
you were the first to discover it?"
Good question. You'd think that with the thousands of pontification
hours logged here at r.g.a., one would find the time for some
actual discovery. But it's actually a surprisingly rare occurrence.

Bill: "Nobody will play this because it's exactly like Hex."
Phil: "Mark spelled backwards is Kram which rhymes with tramp.
Harald: "Tanbo still isn't as popular as Trax."
