Jonathan Capehart calls out Tucker Carlson and his homophobic comments
about Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg taking paternity leave.
"The world has two new people who will be raised by parents who embody
the values they live by. Kindness. Hard work. Service. Sacrifice.
Empathy. Humility. Integrity. Resilience. Gratitude," he says. "Values
Carlson neither possesses nor knows anything about."

Joy Behar's comment on the Tucker the Contemptible

“Regarding the mocking of the manliness of Pete Buttigieg, I’d like to
just say that Pete Buttigieg served six years in the Navy Reserve and
was deployed in Afghanistan. Tucker Carlson was booted off ‘Dancing With
the Stars’ after he couldn’t even do the Cha Cha.”

That's like calling out a worm for living in dirt. Carlson is a right-winger, and he panders to a right-wing audience. Racism, homophobia, misogyny, Islamophobia, xenophobia...it's just in their DNA.

Nobody is stopping Tucker the Contemptible from making jokes about Pete
Buttigieg, however when he makes homophobic jokes questioning the
manliness of men who's boots he's isn't fit to shine he opens himself up
to this kind of scorn.

Give the 'Pete the war hero' implication a rest. Buttigieg flew into Afghanistan and spent nearly every minute of his time on a 5,000 acre US base described as an American mini-city.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p2dJmSDfMDQ

It included a large detention facility. He was an intelligence officer and guess what he participated in. US soldiers were convicted for torturing and murdering helpless captives there.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DlUgh6C_5d4
It's reported that when the US evacuated they left the prisoners locked up. Lacking food or water they were eventually able to smash their way out.

The most 'manly' thing Pete did was drive an armored vehicle between Kabul and Bagram airfield (1 hour, 20 minute drive), the area surrounding it probably thoroughly saturated with US intelligence assets because of it's frequent use by US personnel.

Riefenstahl. She did some PR work for the sort of government you admire.
She’s a role model for you, Irish Mike, Hannity, and just about every

Hell yes, what's there not to make fun of. He's as ignorant at you.

Because it homophobic. See? See why you're too stupid to be in this conversations?
See why I pointed you out as ignorant?

As soon as you point out where he said he was a hero.

As did my daughter when she was in the war theater. (And got an award for saving another sailor’s life).

> It included a large detention facility. He was an intelligence officer and guess what he participated in.
> US soldiers were convicted for torturing and murdering helpless captives there.

I was in intelligence, too. Naval Intelligence. And we had 24-hour armed Marines guarding our
Compound. We were called CT-R. The same as those captured on the USS. Pueblo. Others of us
Were (which is now declassified) in submarines, sitting at the bottom of various Russian bays and
Inlets, gathering intelligence, and in danger of being captured there, too.

So do you know all of Buttigieg’s intelligence activities? Were they as dangerous as your
when you were serving you country in our military?

Oh so you DO know all his intelligence activities. How did you get classified information?

Oh, oh! Now we have a “probably.” Looks like you DON’T know all the intelligence activities after all.

So show us how you knew. Or was YOUR military service with his?

There aren't a gaggle of 'liberal' windbags on national television holding up my military service as an example of 'manliness' so it is therefore not relevant. But I was in more than one situation where my life was, without question, in danger. I don't run around waving that like a certificate of manliness. Nor should anyone who faced very little danger be described by their supporters as if they had when they hadn't.

Whatever his role, he served his country. And he served as mayor of a
pretty sizable US city. And he graduated magna cum laude from Harvard
and was awarded a Rhodes Scholarship. He also apparently speaks several
languages. The only language loathsome silver spoon baby Tucker speaks
is hate-fueled gibberish.

Jealous much? I don't run away from street people the way you did and then try to describe it as a heroic encounter on RGP the way you did.

I admire the Nazi Party?? In case you hadn't noticed I am a vehement
opponent of a party in your country that is following the script the
Nazis took in their ascendance to power. I'm just waiting for their
Reichstag fire. I am also a opponent of Tucker Carlson style white
Nationalism which was the hallmark of National Socialism. So it seems
there is more than a little Trump-style projection going on there.
Accuse others of everyhing you are guilty of.

The "manliness" issue was raised by Carlson with his breastfeeding
"joke". It's dishonest to portray reporters as if they were flaunting
Pete's military service out of the blue. It's not something that ever
comes up except to put little slimeballs like him in his place.

Are you completely brain dead? The Republicans are in the process of
calling into question a free and fair election, while systematically
enacting state laws to make it easier for them to take power when they
lose next time. Its authoritarianism step one 101. Democrats won and
they won't even use the rules that are within their power to use to
enact the legislation they want. Call them weak, but they are the
furthest thing from Nazis.

Messy, but blown way out of proportion, and it has nothing to do with
the ongoing attempt to subvert free and fair national elections.

No, it wasn't. Carlson's 'breastfeeding' comment was a joke on the fact that he DOESN'T have mammary glands. So Joy Behar wasn't defending Buttigieg against an accusation of unmanliness as there was none. She is who assumes Buttigieg is unmanly and based on that perspective she sought to shade some supposed manliness into her image of him and hold it up as a superior comparison to Carlson.

Carlson is a dipshit and would look like a slug compared to any actual combat veteran. But implying that Buttigieg is similar to that is just dishonest.

No, I’m afraid it’s not. Step one used to be taking over the TV stations,

kind of like China. The left has that nearly completed. No need to sour
elections once that is done. They just need to make sure that there are no

Outright lie, the right has plenty of media outlets. Most of the media
represents the middle road which means it leans Democrat because most of
the American people agree with Democratic ideas.

Then why is the right doing everything in its power to make it harder
for people in large urban centers to vote?

The narrative that there was illegal voting is the BIG LIE that was
soundly debunked. And you wonder why you have no credibility.
