The horse is Excessive Essense, Race 9 at Churchill Downs today. I
saw this horse win in April off a long layoff. He had run only twice
before, his last was at Canturbury Downs in Minnesota in 2011. I
don't know why the layoff, but he looked absolutely stellar in the pre-
race activities and won convincingly. Today he steps into Allowance
company and is 15-1 in the Morning Line. But he WAS on the Also-
Eligible List. And he has opted in. I have written about this
before, when a horse opts in off the Also-Eligible List and does not
have to, I look for very positive pre-race activity in appearance and/
or the warm-up. Or, unusual betting action on the tote.

It's the same 5 furlong distance on the grass, and he has a ton of
speed, leading all the way last time.

That's all I've got to say. The race is still a couple hours away,
the 3rd is just now loading in the gate.

I think my horse came in dead last. I'll want to review the tapes.
There was a problem on the break, and later a jockey fell off a
horse. My horse never got the lead but fought for it in the
beginning. He went off at 7-1, but I bet something on him at 14-1.
The winner was 32-1.

I'm still keeping this horse on my Watch List.

you may have bet on him when he was at an "estimated" 14-1 on the tote
board(that's the big board in the center of the track with all the pretty
numbers on it ) , but your bet was never placed until it was in fact 7-1

I saw a bumper sticker about six months ago. It said: "Don't Mex with
Tejas".

What are you babbling about? You are saying nothing, and you are
doing so maybe just as poorly as I said what I had to say. But there
is no "estimated", you idiot. I bet him at 14-1 when he was 14-1.
Get the fuck out of here. Always trying to bust my balls, and doing a
very poor job of it. Why don't you just laugh at me for my horse
running dead last? You can sound like your typical immature self, and
we can all get a chuckle out of it. Go away.

LOL @ "estimated"!

The toteboards run off the ticket machines electronically. If there is any
inaccuracy it is only due to rounding on the toteboard display. GTFO.

What he said is so totally idiotic it is difficult to respond to. I
know he was trying to make a point, but he might have tried too hard.

Well I am as idiotic as him (but we all know this). I understood that
horse tracks were paramutual betting.

If you make your bet when it's 14/1 that's what it is at that moment. It
isn't "estimated". If it changes to 7/1 by the time the windows close then
that's what it goes off at. There's no "estimating". If he is just trying
to say that the payout changes until the window closes he didn't word it
very well and I don't know why he would want to say something that almost
every bettor knows anyway.

So he's being his normal disingenuous self, like always, acting like a degenerate gambler who has just lost a hand saying "....but I was a head after the flop you TVSM!!!" Typical Paul, the CLKD!! Question for the group, he is nothing but a cute Jerry so why the pass for him on his stoopid shit??

I'm a little confused. You seem to have me confused with Doggystyle.
Because I did nothing wrong, I did nothing disingenuous. All I
fucking said was that the horse was 14-1 when I bet it and it closed
at 7-1. It was Doggystyle who came into the mix with HIS stupid
shit. Now if that is what you are trying to say, then please
disregard this. But it is difficult for me to understand where you're
coming from.

And for the LAST time, I am not a troll. You obviously haven't
followed my posts on horse racing because I've written some pretty
strong stuff, if you happen to be interested in horse racing.

And another thing, Mark. I hope you're not serious about comparing me
to Jerry because he truly is a fucking idiot. And I'm not an idiot by
any stretch, Mark. I don't like you comparing me to that fool, Mark.
Now you've got me a little steamed. If you think I am an idiot, Mark,
then it is YOU who is missing the mark, Mark.

WRONG AGAIN SPARKY.. Even after the last flash on the tote board it is
simply "estimated odds.

Every flash and every payout or odds quote on any tote board in the world
is an "estimated " payout or odds

If you disagree with this .. next time a horse pays 28.80 to win , you
show me a pic of a tote board with anything other than 13-1.. THAT IS AN
"ESTIMATE"
