Omg! 1:07.4, that is so fucking fast. My car doesn't even go six
furlongs that fast.

Trinniberg! Winner of the Breeders Cup Sprint $29.40 smokin!

My "1:07.4" was not meant to be time in decimal, literally, it's an
abbreviation for "1:07 4/5", which is, or used to be, standard in
horse racing.

I will never forget, back in the 80s, when I read in the Racing Form
about a horse named Faro who had run at Turf Paradise in Phoenix in
1:07 1/5, AND CAME IN SECOND! Omg! The actual winner was Zany
Tactics, at 1:06 4/5, which I'm sure must be a world record that will
never be matched. Of course, Turf Paradise was always one of the
fastest courses in the country, but still that is like a bionic horse
or something. Zany Tactics soon died, I forget what from. I'll
always remember those two, though.

I just googled "Zany Tactics" and got this Los Angeles Times article.
Zany died from a rupture blood vessel after a workout. It was 1988, I
feel like it was yesterday.

so i just googled Bozina (independant of your google) and the article i
found also mentioned Zany Tactics. weird, of all the horse races ever run
, we came up with two horses in the same race.

My memory is getting pretty rusty. Are you John?

Ah, 1987. Good times. If only I wasn't so fucked up in the head back
then. Wasted youth.

The more I think of that time period, '87 was about the time when I
went to Phoenix to check out the wide-open "social gambling" that had
sprung up in bars all over the city.

I found a little cat over there. He's gone now, of course, but I
remember coming back to the apartment in the afternoon, having been
playing hold'em at the local bar all morning. It was 123 degrees in
the shade. I had been leaving food for the cat on my porch. That day
was so hot, he was laying in the shade, panting. I said, "Ok, that's
enough, you're mine now. Let's go to the vet and get some shots and
stuff." Great cat! He worshiped me. Had him about 16 years.

Well, Mark Twain once said that the difference between a man and a dog
is that if you take in a starving dog and make him healthy and
prosperous, he will not bite you.

I spose that applies to cats as well, but I'm not sure.

No, cats are like people, "What have you done for me lately because I'm
sure you could do more if you tried a little harder?"

I'm not really a cat fan tbh, even though I'm an animal lover.

Don't get me wrong, cats can be pretty cute and all that, but they're
not really like dogs, you know what I mean?

Like a cat will sit there on some elevation while a dog goes beserk
barking and jumping up and down below trying to reach the cat as the
cat nonchanlantly licks it's paws in the knowledge that the dog cannot
reach it.

I'm sure we've all seen that scene a brazillion times. It's not like I
have anything against the cat, it's just that it seems so fucking
arrogant.

Plus, I really admire how stupidly loving and loyal dogs are, which
would be foreign territory to the cat.

Yup, I'm much more of a dog person myself.

That's what Susan was just saying, they're like liberals.

Can't you feel the love from liberals Popinjay?

Serious question. In Popinjay's ongoing battle with Clave (i.e. RGP's
very own Odd Couple) didn't your heart warm just a tiny bit? The time
Clave recounted the story about how he jack-knifed on the highway to
do his, matter of fact, pain in the ass, animal rescuing duties, which
was met with applause?

Sorry, I don't remember a story about him jack-knifing on the
highway. Is he a truck driver?

Who knows, what I do know, is that a "jack-knife" is to stop traffic
on a motorway to save a stupid fucking turtle. Check out the
dictionary dot com and report your findings if you don't believe me.

Jack-knifing refers to a fucking semi-truck, ending up like a jack
knife. Hence, the expression. So I'll ask again. Is Clave, or
anyone in his immediate family, a truck driver?

Why? Wasn't "Who knows" a good enough answer for you?
