I've been very interested in getting more hours in a casino cardroom. However,
I'm not of gambling age, and the only casino that offers gambling to those 18
and over is at the Turning Stone in upstate NY. It's quite a far drive and
makes it difficult to go too often. Apparently, to offer gambling to minors,
the casino must be an indian reservation that set its own age to 18. Both
Foxwoods and Mohegan Sun are 21 and over. I've been looking online, but no
such luck for any 18 and over places... I'd appreciate any ideas or
suggestions.. Thanks.

Turning Stone is it, for poker. I think they're dry, though, because they
allow 18 and up. You'd be hard pressed to find other casinos pass up liquor
for a couple of younger customers.

The only other choices would be in Canada, and those are much further than
Turning Stone.

I've been to foxwoods with some friends who weren't 21. Unless you
look like you're 12 years old you shouldn't have a problem. Try to
borrow someone's wampum card and go with older looking people. If they
ask you for id, just tell them you didn't bring your license. But
don't risk trying to buy drinks with the wampum card, they may id you
at the table. If you still don't get in, try going in through the
other entrace where all the slot machines are and then cut through to
the card room. Good luck.

Thats rough. In Minnesota, our card room, the Canterbury Card Club, is 18 and
up and also serves liquor; so I guess they must card people. Hope you can find
a good game.
