Here's a clue, moron. An intelligent person won't ask the police to send someone over to investigate and file a crime report when the police officer they send could transmit a deadly disease to both him/her and the whole family. That's nowhere near a worthwhile trade-off.

Your insight goes about as far as the surface of every subject, doesn't it?

Anyone with an I.Q. above room temperature realizes that less police on the street means you could be on your own against a burglar or other intruder for far longer than normal.

Of course, someone as stupid as you could just show them some stupid 2-week crime statistics and ask them to leave. Courteously, of course, as you have previously claimed was the best course of action.

LOL. Rode a bicycle through Compton. What an internet fantasy specialist.

1.5% fewer police on the job due to coronavirus will not cause slower response times when the streets are completely deserted, instead of packed like they were before the virus. You will be able to confirm this yourself when the stats are posted next week. You remain our town clown and dumb as all fuck.

Crime has gone down substantially in every single major crime category since the shutdown (as Jerry and I told you last week it would). You just have a lot of trouble admitting you were wrong (yet again!).

And the fact that there's one cop in the car rather then too. So - no change in response time.... (Been there done that). And less traffic helps in quicker response time.

Not to put too fine a point on it but at what exact lack of effective police presence does the risk/reward balance tip in favor of reward for a criminal?

Remember, these aren't the brightest people in the world and brighter people are going to the grocery store to shop.

Good question and I have no idea. But I bet that balance looks a lot different in Texas (and other states that respect the 2nd) than it does in NY or CA. When the wolves know the sheep are unarmed they act a bit differently.

What is going to happen when the hoards of people with no savings and maxed out credit cards can't buy food? Lay down and die or get out the pitchforks? Plus there a percentage of society that jumps at any chance for lawlessness.

https://www.usatoday.com/story/money/2020/01/13/most-dangerous-states-in-america-violent-crime-murder-rate/40968963/

17. Texas

• Violent crime rate: 410.9 per 100,000 people

• Total 2018 murders: 1,322 (2nd highest)

• Imprisonment rate: 746 adults per 100,000 (5th highest)

• Poverty rate: 14.9% (11th highest)

• Most dangerous city: Bellmead

Along with California, Texas is one of only two states in which there were more than 100,000 violent crimes committed in 2018. Adjusted for population, Texas's violent crime rate stands at 410.9 per 100,000 people, slightly higher than the national rate of 380.6 per 100,000.

(Note: While CA has a slightly higher violent crime rate (14th) and is the only state with more total murders (per capita roughly equivalent), NY ranks 25th and has about half as many murders per capita).

Are you saying NY & CA ‘don’t’ respect the 2ed?
Can you name a state that DOESN’T ‘respect the 2ed?

> When the wolves know the sheep are unarmed they act a bit differently.

You bet wrong. I WAS one of those cops in CA. NOBODY – including us cops - thought anybody was ‘unarmed’ because they were in CA. This is a phony false narrative designed by the NRA and other gun freaks.

…But then you did say, “I have no idea.”

Real, non-fabricated quote:

BillB: 'Crime has gone down substantially in every single major crime category since the shutdown (as Jerry and I told you last week it would). You just have a lot of trouble admitting you were wrong (yet again!).'

BillB: '1.5% fewer police on the job due to coronavirus will not cause slower response times when the streets are completely deserted, instead of packed like they were before the virus. You will be able to confirm this yourself when the stats are posted next week. You remain our town clown and dumb as all fuck.'

And a real clincher:
'Risky is just afraid of black people, that's all.'
Did anyone ever have any doubt that BillB would get his black obsession into the discussion?

'*75%* increase in reports of burglaries of commercial establishments from March
12, when New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio declared a state of emergency'

'Bodega burglaries spike by *400%* in New York City amid coronavirus pandemic'

Reading comprehension aid for BillB: jaywalking infractions have absolutely no ameliorative effect on a MASSIVE increase in burglaries. Nor does disparaging someone as 'chicken little'. And, oh yeah, I never claimed the sky was falling.

It's difficult as hell for you to admit you were dead wrong, isn't it? Even when it's obvious that you've made an utter ass out of yourself.

Wrong. I predicted that and anyone with more than half a brain could have when police presence is reduced. You couldn't. Conclusion: you have less than half a brain.

BTW- 75% and 400% increases in burglaries is a MASSIVE increase and it isn't a random statistic. There was a reason for it. And fewer people on the street didn't enhance the ability of the police to control it. Some dope like you flailing and bleating that it's 'relatively few' doesn't change that.

What a moron.

Stop making a fool of yourself. The increase is about five business break-ins a day across the entirety of NYC, while all major crime is significantly DOWN. Any moron (even you) could have predicted an increase in break-ins at abandoned business premises. They've obviously taken the place of home burguries because everyone is at home. Duh.

That is not going to have ANY effect on "response times" for a 35000 person force, nor does it indicate a societal breakdown. Sorry to disappoint you, Chicken Little.

Why do you keep coming back for more humiliation time and time again? Its painful to watch and so pathetic.

As of today 20% of the uniformed officers of the NYPD are out sick.

It's apparent that a lot of people read my 'baseball bats' post. Gun stores are having shortages of ammunition. Some of the coronavirus relief funds should be used to ramp up production.

Best meme I saw on that topic said something like... Due to the ammo shortage I will no longer be offering warning shots.

LOL. But seriously- fuck warning shots anyway. They might hit someone that doesn't deserve it.

Should I assume this is another case of it being my responsibility to guess what Blabbermouth's juvenile sentence fragments mean? I'll guess that he's attempting to correct my grammar in 'They might hit someone that doesn't deserve it.'

For your further education 'that' and 'who' are both considered grammatically correct in that sentence.

Before you attempt to correct someone else's grammar try learning some English grammar yourself. Is anyone really supposed to believe that you are a college graduate and a graduate of a second-rate Canadian law school as you claim?
