whether I should have deposited $500 to get the max ($5000) bonus.
I sat down at a no limit table with min buyin ($20), was surprised to see
that see others had huge stacks. Play was really soft and I ran my $20
buyin up to $288 in just a little while. I went to the cashier to quickly
take my windfall profit. I noticed that my cash balance was only $50!!!!
What the hell??? ........St00pid me........I was playing at a Play Money
table!!!! I never play for funnzies....How can that happen? I'll tell you
how...There is a selection for limits that I neglected to check. The Play
Money games are not marked as such.
Another chapter in the life of a bonus whore. I will keep you posted on
the payout for my $500 bonus if I can ever find a real money game on that
site.

It's something like for every 5 points you earn you get $1, and you earn 1 point
for every $3 raked at your table. At least, that's the gist of it I think. I
will be interested to hear how good the site is though; the only thing stopping
me is the typical suckiness accompanying most site launches.

Oops! The play money games are marked with 'FC' in the Stakes column.
('FC' stands for "Free chips".) If you want to play for real money, make
sure you are playing on a table that has a dollar sign in the Stakes
column. (On the left hand side of the Ring Games tab, you can click the
'Currency' drop-down and select 'Real money' to hide all the FC games.

Right now, I think the best time to find real money games is around the
noon/midnight (EDT) twice-daily freerolls. Last night, there was a full
2/4 limit hold 'em table, a full 3/6 limit hold 'em table, and a 6- or 7-
handed 1/2 ($200 max buy-in) no-limit hold 'em table.

The site is very good in my opinion. GamesGrid.com ran a beta program for
over nine months before launch, so the kinks have been worked out of the
software. I don't see any real suckiness lurking about. Sign up for an

I have no doubt that the bonus is legit, but is it worht it? I mean, I play
20 hours a week, and with all the reload bonusses out there I always have a
bonus going somewhere that I can release faster than the Gamesgrid one. As
far as I know (and i am open to other suggestions) Absolute Poker releases
their bonus quicker than any other site I know. So why should i go for
gamesgrid bonus? It is all about the release speed isn't it, when your bonus
account is always topped up?

Can a player withdraw money from their GamingGrid account while a bonus is
still pending? For example, could I deposit $500, rack up part of my
bonus, then withdraw part or all of my balance and still come back at a
later date to continue working on the bonus?

I will preface this by saying that I am most definitely NOT GamesGrid
support, but...
In short, yes. You can withdraw and the bonus is not affected at all.
I asked that very same question because I was curious, too. As far as I
know, the only restrictions on withdrawing money are:
-You must wait 72 hours since your last deposit.
-You must withdraw as much as you deposited through the method you used to
deposit. (e.g. If you deposited $500 a week ago through NETeller and now
want to with draw $700, you must withdraw at least $500 back out through
NETeller.)
(Stars has essentially the same restrictions, I know.)
If you have more complex questions about deposits/withdrawals, it is best

I have not rigorously run the numbers against Absolute Poker's bonus,
but...
Absolute Poker: 1 point / raked hand
1 point / $1 tourney fee
$1 for every 10 points
GamesGrid: 1 point / raked hand (if $3 in rake)
2 points / $1 tourney fee
$1 for every 5 points
For tournaments, GamesGrid is 4 times faster than Absolute Poker. For
ring games, it depends on what level you are playing. If you play limit
2/4 tables (or higher), GamesGrid should beat Absolute Poker in the long
run. There are all sorts of weird curves when you start looking at
points/rake (esp. with fractional points for non-max rakes), and that
makes it a little too difficult to give you a good shooting-from-the-hip
answer here.
But even if I am wrong about the bonus vs. bonus argument, if you join
the VFP program on GamesGrid (which offers 3 small bets per hour up to
$12/hour/table if you play at least 10 hours of ring games per week), you
will definitely beat any other bonus program out there.
The 1000% bonus combined with the VFP program is just a stupendous amount
of free money that you can earn by playing.
