I was just down to 5/200 in the $20 MTT on full tilt and my modem messed up and
needed to be reset (as in unplug wait 20 seconds and plug back in)

this happened to me twice in very huge pots and when I came back (30sec-1min
later) my hands were folded and I had already lost a round of blinds.

Do they seriously not add disconnection time at a final table?  I went from 2nd
in chips to low stack watching ten-jack wipe me out of the tournament and can
blame it 100% on not getting enough time to get back.

You got it..They don't have disconnection time in ring games either. I
stopped playing tournies there because of it. At least the 3-4 times it's
happened to me I lost the pot everytime and watched others time out and
fold, losing the pot.

kinda sucks

hi

with all due respect, that is a benefit of playing at ftp imo. Other players
shouldnt have to be forced to wait for long period of times because 1 other
player is having troubles. Its unforunate that it happened in a big tournament
but dont blame the site. think about the people on the other end.

I know that on other sites, the player who disconnected/timed out is
declared "all in" for the amount of the bet. Side pots are then
started for additional bets. This protects the disconnected player's
money that was in the pot while not inconveniencing the other players.

I agree with the no disconnect all-in. I hate it when people do that
in a big pot just so they don't have to go all-in.
