Chicago shootings: 70 shot, 12 fatally, in weekend violence across city; CPD Supt. David Brown blames courts

CHICAGO (WLS) -- Chicago's top cop once again blamed the courts after another violent weekend in which 70 people were shot, and 12 of them were killed.

"We are arresting violent offenders, the courts are releasing these people back into the community," Chicago Police Supt. David Brown said. "We're not obviously going to quit. We are dedicated and committed."

Supt. David Brown called out the court system for releasing violent offenders back into the community after 70 people were shot, 12 fatally, in Chicago over the weekend.

After another weekend marred by shootings and murders, Supt. Brown refused to concede the police department's strategy is not working, or that it needs to be changed.

"What can Chicago police officers do? They can continue to be brave and courageous, committed and dedicated in arresting violent offenders," Brown said. "My question to you is, what the courts can do different rather than release violent people back to these communities to create an environment of lawlessness."

Brown continued to shift the focus away from what police can or should be doing, instead blaming the courts, which have been the source of his frustration and finger pointing all summer.

"We can only arrest violent offenders and we're doing it at the highest level historically in the Chicago Police Department's history," Brown said.

*"We've already had 89 people killed in the city of Chicago just this month," Lightfoot said. "That's a breathtaking number.* It cannot be on CPD alone."

When have I ever claimed to be an expert?

All I've said about it is that Chicago is not the deadliest large city on a per capita basis in the US, not even close. Which is borne out by the data.

https://chicago.suntimes.com/crime/2021/7/24/22591573/chicago-weekend-shootings-july-23-26-homicide-gun-violence

"The city has recorded at least 426 homicides this year, down 1% from 432 homicides last year at this time but up 48 percent from 289 two years ago."

426 / 2.7 million population = ~15.8 murders per 100K. At that pace, the city will end up at 748 murders for the year, roughly 2 per day, or 27.7 per 100K residents. While that is certainly not a number to celebrate, it's nowhere near as bad as places like St. Louis (already at 30+ murders per 100K halfway through the year) or Detroit (almost 50 per 100K in 2020, haven't found the numbers for 2021 yet).

A random person in Chicago has a far greater chance of dying from COVID than being murdered (https://www.chicago.gov/city/en/sites/covid-19/home/latest-data.html) - 5643 city residents have died from COVID so far, a rate of 207.1 per 100K.

And I really don't understand why people like you and Risky are pretending to care about a bunch of criminals shooting each other or even the innocent victims caught in the crossfire. Hell, Risky still insists George Floyd wasn't murdered and thinks it's OK that a cop shot a 10 year old kid when he was aiming at a dog.

even made remarks about how many. People were *not* murdered. Is that the
current correct measure now for liberals? Just think how many whites have not
taken racist actions against black people. Proof that there is very little
racism in this country?

And I have already clearly stated that I don’t give a fuck about any
individual murder victim. It’s only liberals who pretend to care about
every last black person - it’s very important to the virtue signaling.

Because it's the innocent and the cops that get shot.

He wasn't. He overdosed, the video and the (real) autopsy PROVE it.

There goes BackupBillB seeking group ("Everyone? Hello?") acknowledgment that
the origonal, and only physical autopsy, showed no injury or neck damage; even when
neck skin was pealed back. And the medical expert (the one that teaches others)
stated that he saw Floyd take his last (unencumbered, unrestricted) breath while
the officers knee was on Floyd's back. (As shown by defense video).

(A different angle on BackupBillB's video where he "Knows it was murder 'cause
I saw it. No trial needed.")

By the way, I should add there is a pretty big error in that fact check. The article says the cause of death was cardiopulmonary arrest complicated by restraint and neck compression. What the autopsy actually said was cardiopulmonary arrest COMPLICATING restraint and neck compression.

In any event, EVERYBODY dies of cardiopulmonary arrest, but it’s important to realize that the autopsy said neck restraint was actually the primary cause, not cardiopulmonary arrest, which was mentioned as a complication of the primary cause.

You probably didn’t understand any of that, but don’t feel bad. Neither did your brother riskytard. Just note that what was NOT listed as the cause was drugs, carbon monoxide, heart disease, or anything else the defense tried to confuse morons like you and riskytard with.

You're so full of shit you even dispute the 'proof' you used for reference. LOL. What a lying moron.

The actual autopsy:
'Cause of death: Cardiopulmonary arrest complicating law enforcement subdual, restraint, and neck compression

Other significant conditions: Arteriosclerotic and hypertensive heart disease; fentanyl intoxication; recent methamphetamine use'
https://content.govdelivery.com/attachments/MNHENNE/2020/06/01/file_attachments/1464238/2020-3700%20Floyd,%20George%20Perry%20Update%206.1.2020.pdf

In the first place 'neck compression' WAS THE VERY LAST THING mentioned (*more on that later).

Your crazy quilt claim that Floyd's 'cardiopulmonary arrest' was a complication OF 'law enforcement subdual, restraint, and neck compression' is asinine.

'complicating law enforcement subdual, restraint, and neck compression' is simply an explanation of what was occurring at the time of Floyd's 'cardiopulmonary arrest'. He had a heart attack while resisting arrest. HE chose to resist arrest.

The underlying factors of Floyd's 'cardiopulmonary arrest' were 'arteriosclerotic and hypertensive heart disease; fentanyl intoxication; recent methamphetamine use'. Floyd had a massively collapsed cardiopulmonary system and he was a long-term illegal drug abuser. Those aren't underlying factors with which an intelligent person would resist arrest and engage in an intense physical struggle but no one ever said George Floyd was intelligent.

Floyd most likely would not have had 'cardiopulmonary arrest' if he hadn't engaged in an intense physical struggle with police officers while resisting arrest. But the fact remains that is what HE chose to do.

What this case has said, loud and clear, to police officers is that if you enforce the law, which you are charged with doing, and some asshole stupidly chooses to initiate a physical struggle with you then YOU will be held responsible for not only their cardiovascular system but also their stupid choices and their violent nature. That's a socially insane message to send.

I am a lawyer, because my name appears on the rolls of the Law Societies of Manitoba and British Columbia. It's a lifetime thing, unless I am disbarred. The work I have done for many years, however, has not required me to be licensed an insured, or under the direct jurisdiction of any Law Society (which I love). I have POAs from the family and corporate entities I work for, and manage their very substantial legal expenditures. This involves hiring, firing, providing legal instructions, and monitoring file progress for the lawyers that report to me. This has been cleared by the Law Society here as perfectly legitimate. I was threatened with a citation many years ago for the unauthorized practice of law, so now I am very careful not to cross that line. Didn't I already explain all this to you?

Anyhow, I am a lawyer, but I usually just say I *used* to be a lawyer because it's easier for most laypeople to understand than "non-practicing lawyer." My role is very similar to that of a General Counsel when he hires outside counsel, but I don't offer legal advice to my clients. I do however save them boatloads of money.

~ I keep saying that because it is true. The chance of you being intellectually capable of becoming a lawyer is exactly zero, let alone last a day as one.

My I.Q. is way higher than yours.

The Law Society doesn't list any lawyers who don't pay them annual dues. Yet another riskytard FAIL. LOL As I said, I am not under the direct jurisdiction of any Law Society in Canada, but I am on the rolls of two of them.

It is kind of creepy that this creep feels the uncontrollable need to investigate me, however inept he may be. Vanek confessed to the same thing. What's next? Bomb threats?

We'll have to rely on your reputation and personal integrity, then. AGAIN?

It took about 7 seconds to type it into a search engine and expectedly find that it was thin air. Don't get angry at me. Blame yourself for repeatedly making claims which are invariably immune to substantiation.

Yes, that is called investigating me, and I feel quite confident that is not all you've done.

>and expectedly find that it was thin air.

What was thin air?? I already said in this thread that I am not under the direct jurisdiction of any Law Society.

>Don't get angry at me. Blame yourself for repeatedly making claims which are invariably immune to substantiation.

Sort of like all your claimed nickel slots profits and comps, and your ability to play eight hands per second?

~ Yes, that is called investigating me, and I feel quite confident that is not all you've done.

The reason you feel quite confident about that is that you doxed Bea Foroni AFTER someone had threatened violence against her. You should realize that not everyone else in the world possesses your complete lack of character.

So, don't believe it. That's hardly equivalent to how you try to portray yourself as not just a 'corporate lawyer' but a high-powered 'corporate lawyer' who hires, fires, and supervises other lawyers. While you also related that you would spend 10 hours a day hooked up to a dialysis machine. Somehow that all sounds like little BillBlab tooting his own imaginary horn again.

I don't recall doing any such thing. I think I recall confirming her identity after she was dead by finding an obituary. It was Ramashiva who revealed her name when she was alive. One thing for sure...you were investigating ME, and you published your flawed conclusions here, TODAY. Can you offer any explanation for your bizarre and unhealthy obsession with me?

Are you incredibly stupid, or just a pathological liar?? I just finished telling you that I am NOT a corporate lawyer.

And yes, my dialysis regimen was about ten hours a day (it seems like a distant memory now). The program was eight hours, but between all the errors and resets and short breaks, it usually worked out to about ten hours. So what? What the hell does that have to do with anything?

Uh, yeah- that doesn't have anything to do with:

'manage their very substantial legal expenditures. This involves hiring, firing, providing legal instructions, and monitoring file progress for the lawyers that report to me.'

So what was your regimen? Sleep 7 hours a day and manage very substantial legal expenditures, hiring, firing, providing legal instructions, and monitoring file progress for the lawyers that reported to you the other 7 hours? Yet manage to spend 12 hours a day posting insane bullshit at RGP?

That doesn't make me a corporate lawyer, dunce. And I specifically told you I am NOT a corporate lawyer. You are unbelievably stupid, and you don't seem to mind advertising that fact.

No, it does not. I'm glad you finally clued in.

My regimen was getting the machine ready at about 10 pm, hooking up, eventually going to sleep, and disconnecting around 8 am (I normally only sleep about five hours a night). You really are obsessed with every detail of my life aren't you? LOL Should I be concerned? You exhibit all the mental imbalance of a full blown stalker.

Oh, it would be more correct to say a doxing that you participated in enthusiastically? AFTER more than one person had threatened violence against her? And then later posted approvingly about? And you say I have a 'bizarre and unhealthy obsession with' you because I did a 7-second internet search to confirm your claimed professional membership which failed to confirm it (as expected)?

LOLOLOLOL...is that why you asked me SEVERAL TIMES to provide you with proof of my date of birth? And what my dialysis regimen was? And when I work? And proof of my poker winnings? And is that why you searched for my current status with the Law Society (and God knows what else)? And that was all within the last 24 hours!

I haven't lied about anything, nor have you (or anyone else) provided a single shred of evidence that I have, ever. That's because I do not lie. Unlike you, I don't need to lie.

No, WHO you worked for. You know, the question that you dodge, the one that exposes you as the liar
we've proved you to be.

What's the name, address, link, and owner of the law firm that hired you (and "loved you.")

And in your comment below, EVEN AFTER SHE DIED, it's clear that you were rooting around in parts of her personal life she never disclosed and clearly didn't want to be disclosed. Granted, I have no way of knowing if you ever shared any of that with Ramashiva or others who threatened her but I have to wonder why you would take the trouble to dig up things like this about someone's personal life if you weren't going to use them. The way you were behaving like Ramashiva's tag team partner certainly doesn't minimize any suspicion of that.

Except you have never shown that I have lied about anything. You claimed I was born in 1963. I proved you wrong. You doubted I was a lawyer. I proved you wrong. You said I wasn't a good poker player. I proved you wrong. You searched my Law Society status, even though I have said several times I am a non-practicing lawyer. You claimed "case closed." I proved you wrong. What have you ever been right about?? And when have I "blabbed constantly" about my former dialysis regimen? You wanted to know all about that too, remember?

And even if I did ever lie about my personal life (which I have not), you claim that you "couldn't care less about [my] personal life." So why would it matter to you?

You need to face facts. You have an unhealthy obsession with my life. You are obviously very jealous of me. You really should discuss this with a mental health professional, not only to mitigate the obsession, but to address the underlying issues (likely low self-esteem, among others) that caused it in the first place.

There is no proof there that I have lied about anything. There can't be, because I don't lie. How many times do I have to disprove every accusation of lying before you will clue into that fact?
