Blabbermouth in Vancouver must feel pretty stupid right about now. As in 'even more stupid than he felt before this'.

'Deutsche Bank warns of global ‘time bomb’ coming due to rising inflation
The analysis especially points the finger at the Federal Reserve and its new framework in which it will tolerate higher inflation for the sake of a full and inclusive recovery. The firm contends that the Fed’s intention not to tighten policy until inflation shows a sustained rise will have dire impacts.

“The consequence of delay will be greater disruption of economic and financial activity than would otherwise be the case when the Fed does finally act,” Deutsche’s chief economist, David Folkerts-Landau, and others wrote. “In turn, this could create a significant recession and set off a chain of financial distress around the world, particularly in emerging markets.”

As part of its approach to inflation, the Fed won’t raise interest rates or curtail its asset purchase program until it sees “substantial further progress” toward its inclusive goals. Multiple central bank officials have said they are not near those objectives.'

LOL...says the guy who wanted the 50 Trillion Dollar Man.

I think I'll hold off "feeling pretty stupid" until the actual "hyperinflation" materializes, if you don't mind. Until then, I'll just bask in the glow of being right again, as always.

Yes, but Deutsche Bank is a sophisticated player in this area. Not to be
dismissed so easily.

It's a minority opinion and I have already dismissed it. The Fed knows what it's doing. That's the real sophisticated player here. It predicted this current temporary surge (along with a zillion other economists) and they are letting it play out rather than stomping on the covid recovery with higher interest rates.

You might recall last year I predicted that inflation would probably top out at about 5%, and here we are.

Put up a “Don’t Feed the Animals” sign. Problem solved.

I didn't back up at all, and the Deutsche Bank did not predict "hyperinflation" as you seem to think they did. Last year I predicted that inflation would probably climb to about 5% because of all the stimulus. That's pretty far off popinjay's prediction of 1,000,000%.

Stop making shit up. And go weep somewhere else. Jerry could show up at any time. Your ass is still sore from the last time he grabbed you.

That's all he has. Make up, dodge, lie, then abandon the thread and hide.

Which he does by starting another thread....
