It is still as I said. Even the IRS Commissioner, Steven Miller, said it was not a case of politics, conservative groups were not targeted, and the investigating committee can't show otherwise. The IRS employees in the Determinations Unit of the Rulings and Agreements Office of the Exempt Organizations Division were required to determine if the applicants were actually Social Welfare Organizations. Because of budget cuts (Republicans) they were short staffed. You KNOW groups with titles with Tea Party & Liberty Freedom were not Social Welfare Organizations. They admit, on TV, they were political. So the IRS, doing its job, targeted political groups. Their 'error,' if one has to be found, was to group the political groups by name to begin their investigations.

YES, they targeted political groups; that was their job. NO, they did not target just conservative groups. This was stated under oath, and the Republicans can't show otherwise because liberal groups were also scrutinized.

Had you gotten your information from somewhere other than Fox or the RJ or Rush Limbaugh, you would know this. It was published in The New York Times.
