I'm writing a book and have a character loosely based on her and am giving
her the opportunity to give input as to what the character looks like.
It's not crucial to the plot.
All I've said about her is she's 'raven-haired' and 'stately'
I got no problem changing that to make Susan (Or Will) happy.
There are characters based on other people (none of whom are in rgp) where
the physical appearance IS important to the plot. They get a say on whether
the name actually reflects them or not.

Nope - I did at one time when I had a lot killfiled. I emptied out about a
month or 2 ago and have since once re-put in 3.
However, even though he isn't killfiled I have no clue what he is talking
about. I don't read every thread beyond the initial post if I have no
interest in it.

I've had the idea for a book (or small series) for some time, but this
weekend a host of ideas whacked me in the back of the head.
Some of the characters bearing those ideas were spawned by some of the
members of this newsgroup.
Anyone wanna be in an epic Fantasy? Or be given credit for inspiring a
character of some sort?
Anyone replying "No" in any way, shape, or form, will not have any character
attributed to him or her.
If any earthshattering ideas were formed based on your posts, posting style,
or anything else, I will blend and fudge to hide any trace of linkage to
you.
Anyone saying "Yes" will, if at all possible, be incorperated into the book,
if in no other way, as a minor character.
Further, should I get this thing published, you'll get a free copy.
If you don't say anything, you'll only be in it if you're just too good not
to use.

Her physical description likely WON'T be crucial to the plot.
I have a couple of characters where it actually WILL matter, based on some
friends, so I need to ask them carefully if they're pleased, or they'd
prefer I name them something that's completely different than them.
Yeah, it may suck. But I'm gonna write the damn thing and try and get it
published. And if i can't sell it, I'll give copies of the text file to
anyone in it.
I'm picking up a little speed at this. I'll be writing again tonight. Plot
points keep hitting me in the back of the head which is more than a little
scary.
