I know several of you saw this in an earlier thread but it was such an
incredible CLASSIC by RGP's own DoubleDownNow that I thought it
deserved its own thread, especially since he wants to be out there
with all his "brilliant" political observations, let's just keep this
all in perspective. That's right, in an earlier thread a few weeks
ago, the guy who is so proud of his blackjack play that he named
himself DoubleDownNow said that he, and I QUOTE, "always doubles down
on soft 12", unquote.

The next time you read any of his political commentary, please
remember that this is the guy who doubles down on soft 12. Thank you
very much.

I don't think an alternative to a soft twelve is within the rules.

Other than that, doubling down on twelve is just dumb, even I know
that.

When the rules are "double on any first two cards", you can do just
that. I don't know about Bumfuck, Ireland or any other Eastern
European country, but in Vegas that is a common rule.

My point is not so much the idiocy of doubling on soft 12, but rather
the idiocy of the poster known as DoubleDownNow. Obviously an RGP
poster naming himself after a blackjack move is indicative of someone
who is really into that game. But if a person is that much into the
game of blackjack, I ask you, how the FUCK can he be stupid enough to
even momentarily think about doubling on soft 12? I just want to
point out the absurdity of accepting any opinion this person might
have regarding politics. DoubleDownNow should be viewed as a complete
and total non-entity on this newsgroup. Kinda like Clave.

So do you call split aces a soft 12 over there in Fresno?

What's today? National Dumb Ass Day?

I wish RGP were like the old days, the old days back when the average
RGPer's IQ was at least 50 points higher than it is now, back in the
days when Wuzzy and KTConstanjuror88 were frequent posters. Them was
some smart dudes.

Granted, it`s definitely -EV, but it can be really fun to do stuff like
that if you can find a low limit table with a bunch of assholes playing
for really big bucks. You should see how mad they get when they start
losing and need someone to blame. It`s priceless!
